Kane's unmasking

Are there actually people who give a shit if this kills the guy's career? Fine by me. Just another not so talented, big man who lived out his usefulness long ago. They've gotten everything they can out of the Kane character and it's time to move on. Of course in their minds I'm sure they think this will relaunch his career. Also no one should have been dissapointed by what they saw because you know there was no way they would or even could pay it off right as it was just a dumb ratings ploy from the start. If Kane is jobbing on Heat two months from now then it was all worth it in my view.

I'm REALLY starting to want a personal JR now. Why can't they be real!?  :(

Anyway, I've always thought the Kane character was holding Glen back. Yeah, yeah, I'm well aware I'll get comments like "But he's only ever been of as Kane!" I still feel the same way. Let's face it, the Kane character looked like something out of Kevin Sullivan's Dungeon of Doom. It's very camp, looking back on it. Not to mention it insulted the intelligence of the fans.

I actually agree with you there.

My recommendation for the unmasking-- because of all the verbal and physical abuse Kane suffered during his lifetime from Bearer and Undertaker, he only thought he was disfigured. So, he unmasks, and everyone is shocked, because he's just a normal looking guy, only severely fucked up in the head. Of course, it doesn't explain why the black paint is always worn around his eyes, but there you go. It's not perfect, but it's better than what they did.

I must admit though, that I didn't watch the main event, because I don't usually care for anything Kane or Triple H do anymore.

Why? You want to give props to Steph & Krew for ruining everything for a guy who's always worked every angle he's been told to and hasn't thrown fits about having to job to anyone. Keep in mind that Kane dropping off the card will create a void probably filled by one of the whiny locker room crybabies likes Fuck Goldberg.

I don’t know how this will ruin his career. He will probably put the mask back on next week and continue to wrestle. If anything, they made him look strong again last night by almost single handedly beating Evolution by himself and kicking out of the pedigree.

Yeah, THAT'LL put the magic right in the bottle!

Well it's good to see that you finally got around to registering an account, Hunter. What rub you gave that guy, letting him kick out of the Pedigree!

Even that mid-carder Kevin Nash got to kick out of the Pedigree.

If I remember correctly, Booker was out for like 30 seconds before HHH pinned him after a pedigree at Mania.

Well, "those kind of people" don't get to kick out of the Pedigree.

I'll sorta kinda disagree myself.

In his first appearance, he ripped the fucking door off the HIAC. Seriously, that was cool. Up there with Chokeslam To Hell (don't laugh, the idea was really cool though the execution was a little lame.) Anytime there's shit getting ripped apart for good reason, I'll mark out. And before watching the first Best of Raw, I had forgotten just how many of his segments were done in the eerie red lights (ie, all of them). That was the shit.

As far as I'm concerned, the IWC ruined gimmicky gimmicks. There'll never be anybody quite like original 'Taker and Kane (or even crazy Al Snow). Undertaker hadn't done a shoot interview until just before WM18. The days of the kitschy stuff is over and that's kind of sad really, since we seem to have a writer so infatuated wtih WrestleCrap that he directly makes winks and nods to stuff on the site.

The WWE will try to weasel their way out of this. In a few weeks we'll learn it was an elaborate rouse, and a fake Kane was the person unmasked. It could even be Kane and Undertaker's long lost brother. Played by Nathan Jones.

Would the Personal JR (patent pending) come with some kind of sneeze guard for the owner so Personal JR (patent pending) won't spit and slobber on them all day? I'd also take my Personal JR (patent pending) to the movies:

"I don't know what the relationship is between Hulk and Betty, but rumors around the back say they might be some sort of an item."

Folks, this isn't part of our program, The Hulk is really hurt. He might be seriously injured. Here come the EMTs. King, you hate to see that...anyway folks, don't forget you can buy Badd Blood on PPV this Sunday! The first 2,000 callers get a free Triple H Beach Towel from WWE Shopzone!"

I liked KingofOldSchool's idea of Kane not really being burnt and just thinking he was scarred. That's actually pretty deep for a WWE storyline. For me, the Kane mystique started to wear off when they did the "Paul Bearer is your Dad" angle. But I still could have bought Kane, campy gimmick and all, if they hadn't started to humanize him so much. Showing emotion -- like in the X-Pac/Tori angle -- was fine, but when he could all of a sudden talk perfectly fine for no reason and then he started exposing more skin and using the smaller mask, that was it. If anything they should "kill" Kane sometime soon and give Glen Jacobs a totally new character (and NEW MOVES so some people might be fooled). I suggest a Ludvig Borga 2003 character.

The unmasking of Kane was the most brilliant angle ever. Now, this is how I think they should book Kane over the next few weeks:

1) Kane is now a raging, angry demon of vengence straight from Hell.

2) Kane destroys Rob Van Dam, proving that he has no soul.

3) Kane destroys Goldberg, proving that he is invincible.

4) Kane destroys The Rock, proving that he is to be feared.

5) Kane vows revenge on Triple H for turning him into this outcast.

6) Book Kane vs. Triple H for the World HHHeavyweigHHHt CHHHampionsHHHip at Summerslam.

7) Job Kane to Triple H in five minutes, Triple H retains.

8) More HHHeat for tHHHe one tHHHat died for our sins.

The thing that got me was when Kane had that flashback with wavey flashback thing twice. I guess that was what he was thinking at the time cause JR and King never said anything about it.

"They didn't explain how he was able to talk out of nowhere, they wont explain this."

Downhome, I believe when X-Pac and Kane were a team, X-Pac would always encourage Kane to talk without the voice box. So I guess they implied (sort of) that X-Pac taught him how to talk.

JR would always say how Kane had become more human since he had been hangin with XPac.
