Guest kingkamala Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Seeing as how it's Rocky month on ESPN Classics and I'm bored as hell, I'll ask you guys, what's your favorite Rocky movie? I gotta go with Rocky III myself, it's the most realistic and it's the peak of Hulk Hogan's acting career.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted June 25, 2003 I kinda like the movies in the order they go in. I like 1 the best, then 2, then so on. 3-5 were just a little cheesy for me.
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted June 25, 2003 none of the above. I never cared for the Rocky movies all that much. 1st and 3rd were decent, rest weren't
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Rocky IV. What's not to like? Apollo Creed dies, Dolph Lundgren, a killer cheesy soundtrack, and Rocky training in Russia!
Guest Downhome Report post Posted June 25, 2003 I've never seen a Rocky movie, not a single one of them. With that said, I've never known anyone you didn't like the original Rocky the best. Hell, most people tell me that it should've just been that one movie and never had a sequel of any kind. I'm going to by the first Rocky DVD pretty soon, I'm sure I'll like it. It's just one of those movies I haven't got around to seeing, heh.

Guest G. HOOD Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Mr. T pitying fools, predicting pain and tryin ta holla at Adrian makes III a easy pick, nephew. There's this programmer in the west wing of my division that looks just like Mr. T, too. E'rytime I see him I go "HEY WOMAN! HEY WOMAN!" but I don't think he gets it. Most computer guys are nerds. Guest 5_moves_of_doom Report post Posted June 25, 2003 First was the best, but unlike a lot of people, I don't consider ANY of 'em too bad... aside from five, of course.
Guest Dr. Timothy Jamison Report post Posted June 25, 2003 I do believe that anyone who's never seen a Rocky movie should be strapped down and forced to watch them all in a row. Except V. V sucked. And y'know how he runs up the steps, then celebrates? I was in Philly last winter, and I tried to re-enact it, and then I tripped, cuz the steps were icy. Some black guy laughed at me. I wanted to punch him. And cry.
Guest La Parka Es Mi Papa Report post Posted June 25, 2003 I don't really like Rocky movies, except the third one. Mr. T, bichets.
Guest ShamRock Report post Posted June 25, 2003 I like Rocky II the best. I totally dug the ending and then Rocky goes, "Yo, Adrian. I did it!" It gets me right there.
Guest NCJ Report post Posted June 25, 2003 I pity the fools who didn't pick Rocky III. The first may have had the best sstoryline, and the second may have had the best payoff, but the third is truly one of the greatest guy movies of all time. (It would rank higher if not for the disscussion between Rocky and his wife before he really gets to trainning hard now.) Mr.T is so fucking great in that movie. He is the ultimate badass heel. Guest Mik at Cornell Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Rocky IV hands down. Drago is like an icon in the Rocky series. He kills Apollo...it doesn't get manlier than that. Not to mention Rocky winning over the Soviet crowd and all of Drago's catchphrases. Great movie.
LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted June 25, 2003 I got the Rocky DVD collector set and i have to say the best movie of them all is Rocky.....The original had the best storyline and drama. Rocky II would follow it as second.
Guest DarkHollywood Report post Posted June 25, 2003 1 and 2 are even in my books, so I'll flip a coin... Rocky II wins.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted June 25, 2003 Rocky then Rockey III then Rocky IV. I have never seen Rocky II and I don't want to see Rocky V
Guest HellSpawn Report post Posted June 25, 2003 III, and very close IV, next I. II is boring. V... There is not a Rocky V. There is not a Rocky V !!!!
Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted June 26, 2003 First one was the best movie. But III was the most entertaining, so that's what I voted for. Best Clubber Lang quote: "I reject the challenge, 'cause he is no challenge, but I'll be happy to beat up on him some more."
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted June 26, 2003 Rocky I is the best actual movie, but IV is my favorite. I saw IV in a theatre on an Air Force Base when it first came out. It was like the fight was actually in the theatre. People were standing in their seats and shit and cheering. Pretty cool when a Rocky movie is being recieved like a ***** wrestling match. Guest MillenniumMan831 Report post Posted June 26, 2003 Only good line from Rocky V - Rocky: (After Gunn punches Paulie, somberly) Hey . . . you knocka him down, why doncha try to knocka me down. Favorite line from the all the Rockies: "Whatever Ivan Drago hits . . . he destroys!!" But my favorite is still the original.

Guest JMA Report post Posted June 26, 2003 Rocky III is my personal favorite. Of course, I only liked I, II, and III.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted June 26, 2003 The first is definitely the *best*, but IV is my absolute favorite. The speech he gives at the end is one of the best things I've ever seen on film. I never, ever stop laughing at that. And Ivan Drago's pretty neat too. Guest NCJ Report post Posted June 26, 2003 "He'll kill you to your dead Rock." "You ever fight a Dinosaur?" "How much do you think he eats? About 202 pounds. And weighing in at 202 pounds." "Hey woman. You must lay in bed every night wondering what it feels like to be with a real man. I tell you what. Why don't you come by my apartment tonight and I'll show you a real man." "How do you feel about Apollo Creed training Balboa? Apollo who? That old bum Apollo Creed. That has been." "I don't hate him but I pitty the fool." "The first time was quick, but this time I'm going to cruicfy him, I'm going to hurt him. Real BAD!!!" Mickey and Clubber Lang rule. Rocky III is still the best. Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted June 26, 2003 The first one. Rocky loses, and was sooo being built up to win, I loved it.
Guest WrestlingDeacon Report post Posted June 26, 2003 As CandadianChris said, Rocky I is the best overall movie, but III is the most entertaining. I went with III, but I'm a huge fan of the series as a whole. I like how you can trace the line of Rocky going from an everyman to a sort of Greek god and the evolution of the supporting characters. I'm probably one of the few people you will find that actually liked V. Not that I think it was particulary great, but I see what they were doing with the idea of Rocky going back to his roots and then training a younger guy, but then he's gets turned into the sort of Anti-Rocky by a crooked promoter because there was no Mickey to serve as Tommy Gunn's heart and Rocky wasn't strong enough to be that emotional center, but he is at the end after he sort of 'absorbs' the final life lessons and love of Mickey.
