Memorable s.n.a.f.u. moments

I just thought of another one, the RVD-Sabu stretcher match. Sabu tried to do some kinda 450 looking thing onto the stretcher from the apron down to where RVD was laying on the stretcher, but he sort of missed and his shin(or ankle it's hard to tell exactly where) smacked off of the steel barrier. Sabu, whose gimmick was he never talked, looked right at the camera and said,"oh man my leg's broke." Funny shit. Crazy dude was doing spots about 20 seconds later without even a hint of a limp, although it had to hurt like hell. Match is on the Hardcore History DVD.

How can we forget Michael Cole at WrestleMania XV shilling the post-show Home Shopping Network deal and giving away the result of the main event by clearly saying "and new WWF Champion Stone Cold Steve Austin".  This is why if I ever get a commentary job I don't want to know what's supposed to happen.

Well, it's not like anyone thought that Rock was walking out with the title, what with him going off to shoot a movie and all.

To bad Vince didn't fire Cole's worthless ass for that, and replace him with someone who would make a better announcer, like Sid, or Ahmed Johnson or a 2x4.

"I remember it was in 99.... and Stone Cold had just got disqualified or something... about 8 referees ran in and tried to control him. Austin started attacking them, and he hit the stunner on one guy, and the camera angle was just right to see Austin had his arm hooked around nothing, the ref about 2 feet away, still took it. The ref was in the air, with his knees folded, and his head tucked, even though there was about two feet of seperation from his neck and Austins arm"

That was definitely it.

Much appreciation for the validation.

What about Summerslam 99? That one had me laughing my ass off for hours. Shane had done a run in and got his ass kicked by Austin and Jesse Ventura threw him out of the ring. Austin stood on the ropes (nt the turnbckle but the ropes) and taunted Shane. Ventura tried to be cool and follow suit. His weight on the ropes messed up Austin's baance and Austin fell the fuck over and got entangled in the ropes. He was upside down and hanging helplessly until Triple H (his sworn enemy at the time) came over and untangled him. That's one of my favorite bloopers.

Theres a view moments in the Hardcore History DVD. JT Smith slamming his head off the concrete floor and finishing the match with a huge bump on his head is one. Another is during, I believe, a Raven vs Pitbull 2 match, a big, fat guy(forget his name), climbs to the top rope, going for a Splash or whatever, jumps off, put lands on his feet, putting all his weight on one leg and it just snaps. I mean you can hear the freaking snap. Very sick, but quite funny too, cause whilst this guy is laying in pain, The Sandman comes out, canes everyone(Stevie, Douglas etc) and canes the guy with the broken leg.

I remember a Sunday Night Heat from 98 or 99 after Austin lost the title where he was attacking everyone. At the end he was stunning referees and missed one, but he sold it anyway.

Guest What?!

This is a forgotten one, but I remember it all the time

This was when Val Venis was in the RTC and he had a lumberjack match against Billy Gunn.

Anyways, the RTC are of course on Val's side and everyone else is on Billy's side. After the match all the lumberjacks fight against each other, and they clear the ring of the RTC. Only one problem, Grandmaster Sexay didn't have anyone to fight off I guess, so he beats up Essa Rios and throws him over the top rope. I think someone actually tells Sexay, "Essa was with us" and Sexay then looks like a complete fool.

A couple of snafu's involving tables:

1.) There was a table match w/ the Dudleys and D-X (Xpac and Road Dogg) on Raw, and Tori goes to the top rope.  She jumps off and tries to do a frog splash on Bubba Ray on the table.  For some reason she just bounces off the table, knocking her and Bubba Ray off the table.  They set up the table and she hits it perfectly.

2.) Wrestlemania X-7-TLC II match. When Jeff Hardy hits Spike and Rhyno with the Swanton Bomb, watch Rhyno.  His table doesn't break and he just kinda slides under the table.

I remember one mess up, on Raw, the dudleys were about 2 power bomb Vince thru a table, something happened, and Vince fell off the turnbuckle and hit the floor.  That's all i remember, anybody else know what i'm talking about?

Actually at WM 15, Cole says "We will have an interview with the new WWF Champion"  he didn't actually say his name.  Not that that makes it any better.  I think he meant to say an interview with THE wwf champ (whoever that would be).  But its not like anyone though rock would win.  and btw, rock was not filming a movie then this was 1999,you are thinking about wm-x7 no biggy. I actually have the HSN post show taped on the same tape as wm 15.  Its pretty funny. The rumble 99 post show was funny when DX came out.  HHH goes to pull down his pants and they cut away.

That was funny.  The second time they did the spot, they had Road Dogg push her down to give her more power so it wouldn't happen again.

Heatwave 98- Hakushi is sitting on the top rope for a minute, waiting for someone to move the table so he'll be able to clear it...

The crowd goes from elated to deflated as they watch his opponent, sabu, push the table towards hakushi, so he can jump over it...

One of my all-time favorite screw ups was back in 1999 on the Nitro where they brought back the NWO when Piper was going crazy backstage the whole show.

There was a segment where he was tearing up the "Powers That Be" office set with a bat and he tried to break a tv but couldn't, even after hitting it like 6 times with the bat.  I swear he said "fuck it" and they went to commercial... ah the old wcw...

Piper attacked Russo's office, and he accidently reveals that the walls were made of cardboard after the office collpases.

Viscrea gets on a scale and it breaks the wrong way.

Yokozuna destroys  the turnbuckle, which led to the rise of Steve austin.

Bossman's screams while Nailz beat the shit out of him.

The look on Bossman's face.

The Funniest part of all that is it was suppose to be a Cage match but when the WWf Crew got to the Arena they realized they didn't bring the Cage so it was made a Lumber Jack Match.

Here's a good one I noticed last night.  My roommate and I were watching Judgment Day 2000 and during the Big Show/Shane McMahon match the Big Show is standing the by entrance and rips a piece the set off to hit Shane with.  JR sells the Big Show lifting this piece of steel like he has never seen anything like it before.  Two seconds after the Big Show drops it, Test runs into the picture and picks it up without any trouble whatsoever.

LOL! I was just about to post that! That was hysterical. JR and Lawler were silent as hell when Test just picked it up like it was a child.

I was wondering is anyone else had seen that.  It's funny as hell, if anyone hasn't seen it and wants to see Test look like a jackass.

Remember Ryan Shamrock, Ken Shamrock's supposed sister? Well, there was one promo where she and Ken get into this big argument and at the end Ken CALLS A SPOT DURING A PROMO! He quickly blurts out "slap me" and what do ya know? Ryan slaps him. Thanks for the memories Ken...

I can Remember a nitro,i think it was in 98 or 99,where Nash  powerbombed Hogan through the annoucetable. Earlier that show Bischoff was announcing and had to yell at The Cat Ernest Miller (I think it was) to stay the heck away from the announcetable cause it was rigged....Pretty funny stuff.

Or another funny moment. The show Bret Hart came to nitro and bischoff was singing the canadian anthem and tried to read the lyrics of paper.Problem..he had forgotten his glasses so he passes the paper on.

LoL, I remember that moment at Judgement Day.  Pretty damn funny.  I also remember when Austin and Ventura went to taunt Shane at Summerslam 99, Austin got tangled, because Ventura also went onto the ropes, and Triple H had to come over and start beating on him to untangle him.....

This isn't a wrestling moment gone wrong, but this is a smarks' moment gone wrong.  The finish to WM 9.  I was thinking Bret Hart was going to win the Championship, then he lost, and then the Orange Goblin comes in to give Yokozuna one damn legdrop, and win his 5th WWF title, signaling the dark periods of the WWF.....

This was a Nitro during Warriors little run there with Hogan. Warrior was stalking Hogan and playing mind games and in one of the skits, Hogan looks in the mirror and Warrior is standing there. Hogan starts acting all crazy and yelling at the mirror and whom ever was standing there with him, I forgot, was acting like they didn't see anything. At the same time Tony is commentating and saying "Oh my God, there is Warrior." They go to commercial and when they return Tony plays it off like he didn't see anything and shoots some BS line off about Hogan going crazy and seeing Warrior in the Mirror when no one could see him. Just an other "classic" fuck up by WcW.

Oh Yeah, How could any of us forget the night that Rick Rude was on Nitro and RAW? That made WWF and Vince look like fools.

1) During the pointless 8 man WMX7 opener, Goodfather ( I think) whips Tazz into the turnbuckle, but before he makes it slips onto the floor. Later on in the show there was the Eddie / Test / Ref thing but that's been described already.

2) During DiBiase's short stint in WCW he managed the Stiener's. He cut a decent promo that ended with " will be the WWF...I mean WCW tag team Champions ".

3) For those of you who have Have A Nice Day there's Foley selling Sam Houston's invisible elbow

There was also that time in WCW when Dean Malenko was fighting someone (I think it was... uh, Kidman maybe... he had to fight 3 matches in one night against the Revolution???)  Anyway, there was this rule where you couldn't go to the outside and I think like 2 minutes in the match, Kidman gets a move off and Malenko (as the heel) slides to the outside to gather his thoughts.... the camera stays on him as he realizes what he's done and he gives an "Oh shit" look.  Little screw up

Yeah, that was at Souled Out 2000.  It was weird, because they started wrestling again, then Charles Robinson realized that the match should be over, and they rang the bell.  Funny stuff.

Angle and Shane at KOR a year ago:

Shane tries to swing a Kendo a Angle's legs, but Angle jumps over it and it cracks the referee in the ankle.

The poor guy was limping around the ring for the rest of the match.  Funny, funny, funny.....
