Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 26, 2003 Nash has been pushing to Vince McMahon and HHH to turn him heel and make him the 4th member of Evolution. Chris Bell, the writer recently released, was liked by many wrestlers, but others accused him of being a stooge that would tell wrestlers what HHH was saying about them in production meetings. This is from the new torch newsletter. Why don't they just trade Nash to SD for Angle or Benoit? God knows that would make more sense than Nash being part of the Evolution...... No good can come from Angle OR Benoit on Raw

Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 26, 2003 No good can come from Angle OR Benoit anywhere in WWE at the current level. As bad as it is for Benoit, and as dissapointing as it is for Angle, jobbing to HHH, Test and Randy Orton will be SO much worse.

Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted June 26, 2003 New Japan could afford them, but their booking is just as fucked up as WWE's right now and the NOAH style would land both men right back in hospital beds. I guess it's back to making Big Show look like a monster stud for Chris and Kurt.

Detective Comics 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2003 Why is X-Pac heat so bad? The worst "Fuck You" a wrestler can get is to come out to absolute silence or be booed as a face. If you're a heel and you're getting X-Pac heat, you're doing a DAMNED good job. Correct me if I am wrong, but I always thought "X-Pac Heat" meant they are sick of seeing the person performing, not the character. You could push X-Pac to the moon, and do anything possible to get him over, but it wouldn't work since nobody wants to see him. In that sense, "X-Pac Heat" very bad. Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 26, 2003 I have no idea what the answer might be so I'm relying on you guys. If an American fights in Japan, does he need to learn Japanese (other than for doing business) or is there no promo work at all?
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted June 26, 2003 Nope. They just cut promo's in English and they translate what they are saying. They almost always cut promo's in a worked shoot style, that is they put the match and/or opponent over like a real fight. They don't do skits or what not. I just recently watched a Dome show from 2000 which Benoit wrestled on and after the match they showed him in the back saying the match was tough, as was his opponent and he would be back sometime soon to try to get his win back. Along those lines.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted June 26, 2003 Cool. I would assume there is a decent percentage of fans that understand English to begin with as well, just not an overwhelming number.

How can a heel getting booed be a bad reaction? X-Pac heat is just a term that was coined because the IWC hated X-Pac and didn't want to admit he had actual heel heat. Of course, during the ill fated InVasion angle when all the WWF guys were faces, X-Pac still got booed. That's the only instance of REAL X-Pac heat I've seen besides 1996 era Rock, Steiner, and to a lesser extent Nash and Goldberg. On this board, X-Pac heat = heel heat for hosses. If A-Train or Show get booed, it's X-Pac heat. If Jericho or Matt Hardy get booed, it's heel heat. Same thing, just one has a negative connotation.
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted June 26, 2003 Well, X-Pac WAS getting "X-Pac Heat" during the InVasion, when he was supposed to be a face. He was like the only WWF-er to be booed. How the hell did I miss that? Oh, well..me is the sorry.

But since HHH is a heel, there's no way to really differentiate the "X-Pac heat" from the "regular heel heat". The X-Pac heat theory only works with faces (i.e. Godberg, Steiner). Sure, I don't like HHH, but he's a damn good heel (no matter how much of an asshole he's in real life - and who knows if all this shit is true). A heel has to make the fans hate him and make the fans hope for somebody to beat the shit out of him. He's done it with the IWC and most of the casual fans. Guest humongous2002 Report post Posted June 26, 2003 Why do we need a 4th member? Its fine the way it is. It's fine the way it is???The team is nothing more than a bad 4 Horsemen rip-off without any talent, putting Nash in it will make the team a bigger joke than it is. Admittedly when it comes to heels its difficult to tell "real" heat from Xpac heat. But it doesn't matter much anyway because WWE generally ignores fan reaction unless it suits them. But Xpac heat is not good for business. We are supposed to enjoy booing the heels. Like the way people love to chant "You suck" at Angle. Though he's a heel, we're excited to see him. The same does not apply to Xpac heat.

David Blazenwing 0 Report post Posted June 26, 2003 This is so stupid. And why the hell is HHH still attending production meetings? HHH: "I'm only getting 7 segments instead of the usual 8-uh" *pedigrees Jericho* LMFAO I can just see Triple H getting up in the middle of a production meeting and pedigreeing somebody like Jericho... So, THAT'S the only reason Jericho is still around... stress-reliever for HHHis Majesty

I mean, are there any tag teams on Raw you remotely give a shit about?

Oh it wouldn't change a thing, but it least it would get them involved with wrestlers nobody gives a shit about, rather than ones we do. Of course, if Nash DID join Evolution, it would probably fall apart faster. So yes! Add Nash to Evolution! And rehire Scott Hall and make him a member too!
