Music Editing?

Recommended Posts

Yup, the editing sucks balls.......Even in games like WrestleMania X8 for Gamecube Booker T, NWO, and a few others have completely different music.

I have King of the Ring 2002 (don't ask why), and Flair's music is the 92 WWF one. It's not a generic theme though as i've heard it in movies and stuff before. Undertaker's theme is edited on a few DVD's too, and on Rebellion Edge's theme is "You think you know me", and it's funny because his entrance and demeanor doesn't fit the song at all.

Edge always has 'you think you know me' except on the Wrestlemania DVD

They just don't wanna pay for the cost to use the songs on something they charge people for that they sell in stores.....

From a business point of view, why should they? The cost of licensing the music is going to be far greater than the extra number of buys they'll get .

From a fan's point of view, it is irritating as hell.

They do it on video games? On Smackdown SYM every theme is left in tact.

I remember Smackdown 2 having Taker's theme as the Raw theme at the time. And on Smackdown: SYM, Maven doesn't have his theme on there

on No Mercy 2001 he uses the 'Never Gonna Stop Me' version too.

i think they started editing it at Vengeance 2001 or RR 2002.

Not really on topic, but because I don't feel like starting another music thread, anyone know where I can get the Evolution theme or video or both?

Well, the Hardy Boyz theme is something they've never used before as is Tajiri's, and as someone already said Maven's is absent as well. I think Stacy's is whatever she had before she went to "Legs".

(I'm new by the way. Howdy.)

I can't believe Shawn O'haire's theme is licensed music, its so freakin bad I could have sworn WWE themselves had to have created it.

I mean were they thinking "we need music for a guy who looks like a monster"

"yeah....come on!" please.

O'Haire enters to 'Come On' by Waterproof Blonde.

(They're from Louisville, KY. Sean became friends with the band during his time in OVW and they wrote the song as a favor to him.)

^ Nice, I always wondered who did it. No idea who they are though.

Benoit's music got edited on JD DVD back to "Shooter".

RVD, Kane, and even freaking Booker T are still edited.

For ONCE, Flair's theme did NOT get edited! Yes, you read me right. You can hear the original 2001: A Space Odyssey theme and not the cheap WWF knockoff version, I'm guessing because JD was in NC.

I think if its band-related, its get censored.

Trish, Victoria, and HHH's themes remain intact however.
