LooseCannon25 Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 Because its more important to Push Big show for the 5 time in a space of 6 months and try to make him a Giant after 2 or 3 years of making him look like a bitch at the expense of Better more valid wrestlers whom would probably make more money matches which will draw more wrestling fans to the product without him. Still... Big show is more Entertaining atheletic and more of a wrestler than say.... Nathan Jones. Huh? Where did Big Show come into the picture?

Guest Anglesault Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 and got hyped up to be the greatest match in WWE history. Yeah, except, you know, no. WE hyped it as the greatest match ever. Hell, that Vince/Hogan Raw magazine hyped it as the greatest match ever. In reality, we got bitchboy Angle sneaking past Brock by the skin of his teeth every week. The problem is that Anglesault will never be happy with what the WWE does with Kurt Angle. He hasn't had such a bad career being a Tag Champ, multiple time IC champ, European champ, WWf World champ, WWE champion, held 2 titles at once, King of The Ring winner. One time IC champ. But he also held the WCW world title, The US title (the belt that killed his heat) and the Hardcore belt. Anyway, that's all nice, but again, LOOK at those world title reigns and tell me with a straight face he was pushed as a main event contender. All I ask is that they do the same thing with Angle that they's done with Austin, Rock, Brock, and yes, HHH. They refuse. I react. End of story.

Aside from the phantom tournament for the US title, what do we have to look forward to? A Brock/Angle/Show 3-way? Show v. Hogan and Ex-Team Angle v. Angle/Brock? What the company likes to do is build people up to be contenders (Cena, Albert, Show) and then knock them off the pedestal at a PPV in which we’re suppose to believe they have a chance of winning…Bastards.

Given that Hogan/McMahon wasn't a Tag Match, or Hogan not having the juice to get into the final match of the card, or the fact that neither Hogan or McMahon is a traditional high-profile "celebrity", and finally the fact that the WWE had gone 7 straight WM's without a non-title match ME'ing - I think they put themselves into a position where they couldn't have a non-title match on top. Of course, instances of Undercard matches upstaging the ME in terms of hype is not that foreign at all given that last year they did it with Hogan vs. Rock and made the conscious decision to put the title as the ME - which carried over to this event. It was Taker/Sid. And back to the original question..why does Angle automatically have to be a title contender?

Give a guy a break Angle was the last champion and usually former champions get an automatic rematch... ...of course, they haven't brought that up at all so it'll be pretty funny to see how they bring it up a month in.

He could stick his medals down someones pants, pull em back out, and kiss em! They could put a lil tiny hat on him and have him sing. They could have him cry like a lil girl and then make fun of him. Oh the things he could do... But they wouldn't be stupid enough to do those kinds of things to an athlete the calibre of Kurt Angle. I mean, that's pretty stupid. ........ Other possible things they could do -Have Kurt sneak in on Big Show having a physical and end up making him "cough" - and then big show finds out it's Kurt and hilarity ensues. -Have Kurt and Brock sneak around the hotel at night and prank call Big Show and generally act like College Kids, all of which leads to Big Show taking a dump on Kurt. -In the aformentioned hotel prank, have Team Angle throw water balloons full of Big Show urine on Kurt, and then push him down the stairs and have him get knocked out. THEN dress him up like a baby and push him around in an oversized novelty stroller and take pictures and stuff. THEN have Kurt suckle on Big Shows nipple ala Stewie in the Family Guy... Oh man, I hope the WWE braintrusts are reading this cause this is GOLD. Speaking of which, -They could make Angle a Bond Villain and put him in a variety of zany skits where he has a patch over one eye keeps stroking his Gold Medals. You could call him "GoldAngle" and he can tie Brock Lesnar (renamed "James Brock") up to a chair and have Brock escape and give GoldAngle a huge wedgie until Angle's "fake" eye pops out from under the eye patch... YEAH!
