Guest bob_barron Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 He was talking to Shane at the beginning of the invasion, and he had a match with Kaientai or something, so Show said he had to deal with a pair of silly little g--ks JR: Bah gawd Big Show calling them a bunch of GOOFS. The nerve of him calling them GOOFS. Can you believe that Paul? Paul: The Big Show showing no regard to his opponents by calling them GOOFS. That was funny when they tried to cover up
Guest Youth N Asia Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 So he’s not only a big fat lazy slob, but he’s a big fat lazy racist slob. Don't forget his ugly haircut

Guest cynicalprofit Posted June 27, 2003 Report Posted June 27, 2003 Ultimo is on america tv, no matter what moves he can or cant do, its still a good thing he is here.

Kaientai's interpreter: "They say that you remind them of Godzilla." Big Show: "Godzilla, huh? Well, in that case, I'll take two eggrolls, and a bowl of wonton soup!"
Rendclaw Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Ahh racist angles, you have HAVE to love them.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Dragon not being able to do the Dragon sleeper would be like if he didn't do the Asai moonsault...his name is in the damned thing. Of course, I don't think he invented the Dragon sleeper, but that's just nitpicky. He didn't. That Japanese wrestler who beat Ric Flair for the title once did.
Guest Anglesault Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Ahh racist angles, you have HAVE to love them. Who said anything about that being an angle?
Lil' Bitch Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 It was just amazing seeing Ultimo. Truly, the comeback story of the year. He looked great and from what I saw, he hasn't changed his style. He also had his outfit in silver, which was nifty. Along with new music, he had pyro that put Booker T's to shame. Of course, I was expecting the Dragon Sleeper, its what he was best known for when he was working in WCW (He was one of my favorite Cruiserweights). But now, he has that 360 Deathdrop (Diamond Cutter hold into backflip into Deathdrop), I was like "Holy shit!" when I saw it, I've never seen anything like that before. It was just plain badass. Sure, he might get a little too much help from his opponents, but its still cool regardless. I'm just glad the Dragon is back.
Guest wildpegasus Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 On the original topic of Ultimo not being allowed to use the dragon sleeper I know it's not polite to use someone else's finisher but in the Undertapper's case it's becoming real annoying. He has a whole slew of finishers that other wrestlers should be allowed to use. 1)Powerbomb- This should just not be an Undertapper move. However he made it his move and when he's around you see noone else using it 2)Dragon Sleeper 3)Tombstone-Yet another move only allowed to be done by the Undertapper
Guest Anglesault Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 3)Tombstone-Yet another move only allowed to be done by the Undertapper That's being unfair. The Tombstone is associated with the Undertaker more than anyone. I had always assumed that that's where it got the name "tombstone" (maybe not, what the hell do I know)
Guest wildpegasus Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Maybe I should have clarified more. You make a good point but I meant the piledriver in general. I know there's a somewhat ban in the WWE but I still think it's unfair that the Undertapper has so many moves that are only allowed to be used by him.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Powerbomb- This should just not be an Undertapper move. However he made it his move and when he's around you see noone else using it If you're talking about the Last Ride, its not so bad. At least he makes it different by lifting you straight up, pushing you further by your tights, and then just slamming your ass down. If just a "Powerbomb", I think Nash gets those rights. 2)Dragon Sleeper I haven't seen him use it in a long time, its rare for Taker to use submissions, for finishers anyway. Usually, he does it on big / fat opponents, lets pray Ultimo does the Dragon Sleeper for old time's sake. 3)Tombstone-Yet another move only allowed to be done by the Undertapper I'm very sure he invented the move. Only to see it get stolen by Fit Finley and Steve McMichael. And don't forget the Undertaker's Chokeslam (Can't believe Hogan lost the title to this move... )
Guest wildpegasus Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Quote: I'm very sure he invented the move The Dynamite Kid and even Chris Benoit were using the tombstone before the Undertapper became famous using it althoght I have absolutely no idea who actually invented the tombstone piledriver. They would typically use it as a setup for the flying headbutt. Benoit usually uses a shoulderbreaker now which I don't really mind.
ChrisMWaters Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Undertaker didn't invent the Tombstone or the Chokeslam... NOVA DID! ...seriously though...Dynamite Kid was using the Tombstone before Undertaker did...and I think Sid was using the chokeslam before Undertaker started to use it.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Don Muraco used the Tombstone as a finisher in the 80's, also.
Guest RollingSambos Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Yep. I think they called it the Asian Spike or something...
Guest AndrewTS Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I don't think the move he won with was his finisher. It's obvious that it requires the opponent to cooperate with, and if we'd see an opponent get suckered into it every time Ultimo won, it would look lamer that falling in perfect position for the 619.

I'm very sure its his new finisher / WWE finisher. Its pretty tight, but we have to wait until Ultimo's next match to see if its really his finisher or just something he did on a whim and will bust out with the Dragon Sleeper next time...

Yeah, maybe it was just a slightly blown spot, but it got a huge pop so he decided to go with it for the finisher to the match.
Guest Goodear Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I know Undertaker didn't invent the tombstone, but I think before he started using it with regularity that it wasn't being actually called a "tombstone" piledriver. I certainly don't recall that being the case when Muraco and Bret Hart were using it as a finisher. Anyway, when three guys use a choke-slam as a finish and four guys are using powerbomb variations, I don't think Ultimo Dragon is going to have much trouble using the sleeper. He probably just wanted to show off his new invention ... Sliced Bread #3?

Guest The Mighty Damaramu Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Hey that was funny when Kurt did it. The way he did it.....he had this serious look on his face the whole time.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 Kurt ALWAYS has a serious look on his face when he does comedic stuff. That's why he's hilarious.
Lil' Bitch Posted June 28, 2003 Report Posted June 28, 2003 I just get kick out of how Kurt's always hugging ppl especially Benoit who almost always has a serious look on his face. Classic.
