Internet Warfare Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 I'm on Kazaa and Well It seems Metallica is fucking with us. Can you guys tell me the specific size of the song that actually works. I'm looking for "Frantic" and "Somekind of Monster". Thanks in advance.
Guest cartman Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Lars says: "BUY THE FUCKIN CD!" *This public service announcement has been brought to you by Bob Rock and Co.
Guest DrTom Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 I doubt Metallica is fucking with you so much as dickhead Kazaa users who love to mislabel shit so people download the wrong things are. I've heard that searching for "Metallica MVP" will give you the real tracks, but since I actually bought this CD, I can't confirm that.
Guest Red Hot Thumbtack In The Eye Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Many record companies also release these versions onto the web with clips, or a section of the song looped over and over for the approximate length of the song. Just to fuck with people. You'll have better luck finding the right versions on Soulseek anyway.

rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Beer good! Kazaa bad!
Guest DrTom Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 If you have the CD, why not put it on Kazaa? Because I can't be bothered to rip it to MP3.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 ...and because the cd is so terrible that it should be buried and forgotten for all eternity...
Guest redbaron51 Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 ...and because the cd is so terrible that it should be buried and forgotten for all eternity... hmmm.... this is why there isn't much death metal songs on there.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 there's all kinds of brutal death on the net, you've just got to know where to look. Relapse.com is a good start for grind, anyway.
Guest redbaron51 Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 but grind sucks... well not sucks, just when my friend plays Napalm Death on a loop, it kinda gave me the negative impression of grind itself.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Posted June 30, 2003 Report Posted June 30, 2003 Napalm Death is diet grindcore. hit up relapse records and download some Cephalic Carnage, or some Mastodon. Much better.
Internet Warfare Posted June 30, 2003 Author Report Posted June 30, 2003 Well cut my hair and call me Sally "Metallica MVP" worked! Thanks DrTom.
Guest redbaron51 Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 best is.. buy the album sign up for Metallicavault.com and get the rarities
Guest DrTom Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 The Metallica Vault is actually much better than the CD itself. All of which was mentioned in my most excellent St. Anger review, btw. ::thumbs up, cheap pop::
Guest El Satanico Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Lars is very angry with you You wouldn't like Lars when he's angry Lars is going to get you Run away! Run away from the fury of wee little Lars.
Internet Warfare Posted July 1, 2003 Author Report Posted July 1, 2003 I can kick his ass, no problem.
Guest DrTom Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Until his bodyguards take your hard drive full of downloaded music and shove it up your ass sideways, sure...
Guest EndleSSRAin Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Well, the CD can't actually be ripped... as we know what corporate whores Metallica are . So, look around on a few XDCC channels or whatever, or maybe even better, don't actually bother. Metallica can do much better than this CD, so why don't you just get the 'older' stuff - Master of Puppets prefarably.
