Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted June 30, 2003 My girlfriend is buying me a ticket for my birthday, so I am going. It comes here July 9th. I am even more excited for the Dying Fetus/Skinless show August 1st though.......
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted June 30, 2003 If I could get a free ticket, I would, but at THOSE prices..no fuckin' way. I don't need to see Shadows Fall THAT bad. Besides, CoF has been sucking lately, and I've already seen Ozzy 3 or 4 times. I'm not to enthralled with anyone else there. I am however, chomping at the bit to see Type O in Detroit August 2nd. "tHOSE prices? 35 bucks is cheap shit... Yeah I'm going to The Columbus Show on August 3rd... Shadows Fall...HERE I COME!
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted June 30, 2003 35 bucks for one band I'm curious about, and a bunch that suck? No thanks.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted June 30, 2003 Shadows Fall Cradle of Filth Black Label Society those three bands for 35 bucks is worth it
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted June 30, 2003 Already seen BLS. The new Cradle sucks ass, and I was never a huge fan in the first place. I don't like Shadows Fall all that much, but am curious as to whether they're good live or not. Besides, the show has gotten progressively worse. 97 and 98 were fuckin' sick, 99 was great, 2000 left something to be desired, 2001 wasn't so good, 02 blew goats, 03.... Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted June 30, 2003 i have been to ozzfest the last 3 years. The only reason now I go is with friends and point out the fakes. I make myself so obvious, in khaki's and an orange shirt
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted June 30, 2003 If my friend gets tickets for his birthday, he's taking me along.
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted June 30, 2003 Last time I went was in 2000. Oh and what kind of tickets are $35? The cheapest tickets here are $49.95, unless you are one of maybe twenty people that can score $10 lawn tickets on the day of the show.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted June 30, 2003 It's 39.75 according to Ticketmaster for Lawn...That's cheap.
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted June 30, 2003 Well at least 02 had System.... I'm there to check out COF live (never seen em, and I like the band but hate the singer) as well as Shadows Fall and Voivod. But MAN does that main stage suck this year or what? Aside from Sabbath goodness, you've got Korn, Deftones (who are going to be in a little bitch fight), and CHEVELLE?! WHAT THE FUCK IS THAT?!? For a tour that prides itself on METAL, Chevelle isn't even HARD rock. They're barely ROCK. Wussssstastic. That said I'd go there early and leave early, unless I took my cousin who is a big Manson/Korn fan (who can blame her, she's 13...But at least she's hooked on Tool) Lollapalooza looks like a better show IMO, of course that's a totally different type of show. EDIT: Speaking of which, I heard Perfect Circle was going to be on the Lollapalooza bill....Is that true? If it is, that makes it a MUST SEE show for me... Guest goodhelmet Report post Posted June 30, 2003 It's 39.75 according to Ticketmaster for Lawn...That's cheap. that is not cheap. as for ozzfest, i saw the 2001 show so there is really no need o see severla of the same acts play and other acts that i have no interest in. Guest justsoyouknow Report post Posted June 30, 2003 I also heard that Perfect Circle is going to be on Lollapalooza, but only for a few select dates...for example, here in Arizona, we don't get Queens of the Stone Age, we get Perfect Circle. At least that's what I've heard.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted July 1, 2003 Manson can't come to the Buffalo area, he's banned for some odd reason. Deftones is 50/50. If Chino is good, then they are great, if he blows...well its just rancid. And doesn't the British Ozzfest usually have the better line-up
Guest Blas Report post Posted July 1, 2003 I dont see any reason to go to Ozzfest. There are so many better tours out there that are actualy worth the money. I'm waiting on Vader, Kreator and Amon Amarth to drop by over here.
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted July 1, 2003 Well my gf likes a lot of the Ozzfest bands, and I like SOME of them. Plus it is a free ticket for my birthday. If I end up experiencing a huge dissapointment, it won't matter because less than a month from that date, is the Skinless/Dying Fetus show which will blow the roof off the club~! Guest Mindless_Aggression Report post Posted July 1, 2003 I would go but coming to my hometown of Tulsa on I believe July 27th is the Off-Fest, featuring Cradle Of Filth, Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage and Sworn Enemy. So yes, basically the 3 bands I want to see are right there and I don't have to sit through Korn. Good times.

B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2003 Aside from Shadow's Fall and BLS, I have no desire to anyone on the bill. I still want to know how Chevelle got to be a main stage act at OZZFest. Is Sharon high? I'm jacked for The White Stripes on August 1st at the Palumbo Theater in Pittsburgh. Then, it's off to Dublin, Ohio for the Celtic Fest and FLOGGING MOLLY. Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted July 1, 2003 Ozzy should run the tour by himself, and not listen to Jack or Sharon...
Guest Vitamin X Report post Posted July 1, 2003 Yes because Ozzy is so much more mentally stable and capable of doing it than either Jack or Sharon..
Guest converge241 Report post Posted July 1, 2003 i wouldnt go for free im too friggin old and have seen just about all the bands live except for disturbed and cradle..that aint worth the hot day in the sun
