Guest razazteca Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 The local news channel reports that Tim Duncan will sign a contract with the Spurs for 7 years $122 million. This resigning will probably draw in some big name Free Agents now that they know that Tim Duncan will stay with the Spurs.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Duncan's agent said he will resign with the Spurs because they can offer him the most money. Obviously other factors play a part, but it was still a truthful and funny quote.

Guest Dangerous A Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 I don't think there was any doubt either. There was no press this year about him leaving and he had the same player option for free agency as Kidd did, yet everyone is speculating about Kidd departing the Nets.(which I hope doesn't happen unless he departs for the Kings)
Guest razazteca Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 One key member is secure but its time to worry about the guards who have contracts up. I wonder what the Spurs will do with the Chinese player the team has on the injure reserve, will he be a big factor next season?
Rendclaw Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 heh, I knew if Tim wasn't leaving SA to come to Orlando, he was going to stay there for his entire career.... ::takes a moment to think about the damage he and T-Mac could have done for the Magic::
