Guest El Satanico Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Gangs of New York: An excellent DVD for a very good movie. The DVD is loaded with extras, including commentary from Scorsese and a U2 music video. It also includes extras dealing with the historical aspect of the movie. How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days: I’ve heard this is a romantic comedy that’s safe for men to watch. If your lady friend wants you to watch a romantic comedy with her, this may be a good option for you. It comes with the typical extras including a director commentary, a music video and 5 deleted scenes with director commentary. La Femme Nikita (Special Edition): We’ve had a drama and a romantic comedy, now it’s time for some action. This is the best DVD version of the movie, but the extras are weak for a Special Edition. Of course, when it comes to MGM, a DVD with more than a Trailer is a special edition. Charlie Chaplin Collection (4-Pack Gift Set): A four-movie collection consisting of The Great Dictator, The Gold Rush, Modern Times and Limelight. Each film are all new two disc Special Editions, which are loaded with extras. Any Chaplin fan would be more than happy with this great set. You can also purchase each film separately. It’s a decent week for most people, but it’s a great week for Charlie Chaplin fans. I consider Gangs of New York to be the only “must buy” of the week. This is just part of the list, you'll have to go here for the complete list.
Guest ShamRock Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 I'll pick up The Gold Rush and that's about it.
LivingLegendGaryColeman Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 you seem to be forgetting one of the biggest DVD releases in history for tomorrow... The Real Cancun...
Guest El Satanico Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Hmm odd Amazon nor my source listed it. I've seen ads for it so I guess I knew, but when it's a movie like this I didn't care enough to take note.
Guest Polish_Rifle Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Wasn't the Real Cancun in theatres just last month?
Guest Ravenbomb Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 birthday's coming up, and it's all but guaranteed that I'll be getting the GONY DVD, so I'll hold off buying it for now
Guest Downhome Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 You are forgetting about There's Something More About Mary also. I already have that one ordered and Gangs of New York (got this one for free at FreeDVD4Me.com this week actually).
Guest Crucifixio Jones Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Isn't this the THIRD release for La Femme Nikita? I have the first release (I believe by Trimark) and then I saw an MGM release later. What does THIS second MGM release have in the way of "extras"? The television series with Peta Wilson should be out soon, too.
Yuna_Firerose Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Any guesses as to when X2 will come out?
Guest El Satanico Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 The television series with Peta Wilson should be out soon, too. Next Week
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 The television series with Peta Wilson should be out soon, too. Next Week I liked the first season or two of that. But it got pretty bad after a while.
Guest Marshall Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Any guesses as to when X2 will come out? The future? Am I close?
Guest El Satanico Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Any guesses as to when X2 will come out? The future? Am I close? no
Guest Downhome Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 Any guesses as to when X2 will come out? Not a guess, but the exact answer. Is this good enough? From DVDAnswers... Title: X-Men 2 Starring: Hugh Jackman Released: 17th September 2003 SRP: TBA Further Details Rumour has it that Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment have made the tentative announcement that X2 will hit shelves on the 17th September throughout the world. The only details we have at the moment is that it will be a 2-disc release, and also out on the same day will be a 4-disc boxset containing X-Men: 1.5 X-Treme Edition as well as the X2 DVD. Please note though that due to the early nature of this announcement, things are subject to change. Take a look below for the artwork: ...heh, will this do?
Guest El Satanico Posted July 1, 2003 Report Posted July 1, 2003 I'll get the 4 disc boxset if it's priced right on it's release.

Must...start...saving...now!
Guest Eagan469 Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Ed The NBC show? it's either that or the Matt LeBlanc movie with the monkey
JasonX Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 The television series with Peta Wilson should be out soon, too. Next Week I liked the first season or two of that. But it got pretty bad after a while. The USA TV "LFN" series was good through the show's first three seasons but fell apart in Season 4 (and the less said about Season 5 the better)....
Guest El Satanico Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Ed The NBC show? it's either that or the Matt LeBlanc movie with the monkey ding ding...we've got a winner
Guest mach7 Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Meh. Gangs of New York.. What a pile of shit. I'm surprised that Brendan Gleeson ever signed onto that piece of Scorsese garbage. =\ BTW, Does anyone know the DVD release date for 'Identity' ?
Guest Crucifixio Jones Posted July 2, 2003 Report Posted July 2, 2003 Downhome is now Yuna's favorite poster. Birds of a feather...
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 Ed The NBC show? it's either that or the Matt LeBlanc movie with the monkey ding ding...we've got a winner Guess I'll be skipping it then...
Guest Nevermortal Posted July 3, 2003 Report Posted July 3, 2003 Gangs of New York is a good DVD. But whoever made the decision to spread the movie over two discs is a fool.
Guest Dmann2000 Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 I went ahead and picked up the Chaplin Collection too.
Guest NaturalBornThriller4:20 Posted July 4, 2003 Report Posted July 4, 2003 Picked up GONY and The Real Cancun. You heard me correctly... I...PICKED...UP...THE...REAL...CANCUN! ::Stocks up on Water to put out the flames::
