Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted July 2, 2003 LOD, Ultimate Warrior, and Million Dollar Man are ones confirmed so far. There are supposed to be 12 legends in.

Guest BigPoppaKev Report post Posted July 2, 2003 That sounds like a really great feature. No more hours of sitting around and making my favorite past superstars. I am hoping for Bret Hart, Andre, Snuka, Bulldog, Owen and a ton of others.
Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Bobo, list a source because I'm not finding any confirmation on this.

Guest Memphis Report post Posted July 3, 2003 If legends are in then I better fucking see Bret Hart & Terry Funk.
Guest BoboBrazil Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Nikolai Volkoff is also a legend in the game.

Guest Eagan469 Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Someone posted it on gamefaqs - I think the guy that said Nikolai Volkoff was just joking.

Guest CED Ordonez Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Ultimate Warrior in the list of legends makes me skeptical and the source isn't really doing it for me in terms authority. *takes information with large grain of salt* EDIT: Statement retracted. I've got enough sources confirming that there will be legends.

Guest JHawk Report post Posted July 3, 2003 For the record, I think "The Ultimate Warrior" is owned by WWE. Hellwig had his name legally changed to "Warrior" but I don't think he has "Ultimate" listed as a first name.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted July 3, 2003 I don't believe the rumor. Didn't this same rumor come out about Attitude? The closest this has come to actually happening was Andre in No Mercy and the Legends of Wrestling games.

Yeah--WWE was within their legal rights to try to reuse the Razor Ramon and Diesel gimmicks. But they may not be able to use Warrior's likeness without his permission. Hm. Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Too bad the gameplay will still suck ass. You can always count on Flyboy to add something intelligent to a discussion. Personally I have no problems with SYM's gameplay except for the AI either being way too stupid most of the time, or in some cases (vs. Taker) incredibly cheap. When the CPU Taker does his cheap posing/kneeing/punch holds and shit, sometimes you can never escape them.
Guest Flyboy Report post Posted July 3, 2003 I'm willing to bet Ultimate Muscle's gameplay is the better of the two. But, that's just a guess.
Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted July 3, 2003 I'm willing to bet Ultimate Muscle's gameplay is the better of the two. But, that's just a guess. Yeah, the AKI engine is in many ways superior. That doesn't mean anything that isn't like it "sucks ass." I consider the Fire Pro and AKI engines the only wrestling game engines better than SYM.

Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2003 considering that LoW was panned for having crappy gameplay, I think it was a fait accompli for the E in creating the legends.... This game is going to rock the house... and to think that I play SYM almost every day as it is... BTW, does anyone have a strategy guide for the story mode of SYM? A lot of the people who made FAQs/CAW lists kept promising a walkthrough, but it hasn;t happened yet... can it be that the story mode has just too many variables (even though there could have been more)? Guest The Decadent Slacker Report post Posted July 3, 2003 HCP better have Ultimo in it, that's all i want. Warrior & them sound AWESOME in this game, but i get this "too good to be true" vibe from all this. So there's no Piper (damn) or Hogan/Mr America in this i assume? We also better get Savage. Then the game is perfect in my eyes, unbreakable submissions or no

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Report post Posted July 3, 2003 WM 19 won't have legends, but they better damn sure bust em out for WM XX next year. Hell, they better go as far as to have the WM Arenas and sets as well. And the WM 19 Commercial I keep seeing makes me happy.
