Guest The Grand Pubah of 1620 Report post Posted July 3, 2003 I am sure most of you already know that Comedy Central will be playing the South Park movie at 1:00am on Friday night/Saturday morning...UNCUT! There's no way that can happen. I mean do they honestly expect the public to belive we'll see the entire "Uncle Fucker" scene without it getting censored? (not to mention all the other scenes they'd have to censor)
Guest JHawk Report post Posted July 3, 2003 At 1am, I wouldn't doubt it. They got away with saying "shit"162 times in 22 minutes, they might be able to pull it off. If they can't, I'll just pop my tape in instead.
Guest The Grand Pubah of 1620 Report post Posted July 3, 2003 I have to watch it just to see. But that movie is just filthy, not there is anything wrong with that. But I am very interested to see what will happen. And the 1am time is eastern.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2003 It will probably be like TNN's "uncut" movies. Everything but "f*ck" is allowed. But with this movie they might as well not show it "uncut" if they can't say "f*ck"
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Let me remind everyone that it says Uncut...not Uncensored. Of course it's just a minor difference and most people consider them the same. But still technically it's a loophope that Comedy Central can and will use. That's exactly how they will get around it.
Guest JHawk Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Using "uncut" implies "uncensored" though. But again, I've got the tape if they ridiculous with the bleeping
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Using "uncut" implies "uncensored" though. But again, I've got the tape if they ridiculous with the bleeping Exactly...it implies it, but it never says it. It's a cheap loophole with no doubt, but it's still a loophole. Guest JHawk Report post Posted July 3, 2003 And a loophole that will get a LOT of letters from South Park fans. Remember when they promised to tell everyone who Cartman's father was and used it as an April Fool's joke?
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted July 3, 2003 The South Park trend is long dead, so the only remaining South Park fans are the die hards. Nothing they do now will recieve the outrage Cartman's father Aprl Fool's episode recieved.
Guest The Grand Pubah of 1620 Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Goddamn loopholes! I never thought about that. Thanks for the enlightment El Satanico. You really do learn something new everyday, I never took those words for their literal meaning. But, anyone with that avatar can't be bad!
Guest Bruiser Chong Report post Posted July 3, 2003 They won't let everything slid. It'll be a lot like TNN's uncut movies or like USA's uncut version of Howard Stern's Private Parts. While they won't have someone narrating (like Stern did for the uncut TV version), they just bleeped out the f bombs and although this wouldn't apply to South Park, anytime nudity was involved, it was just blurred out. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Did they actually say it would be without edit? The word "Uncut" is part of the movie's full title. Are you sure you didn't just hear this instead?
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Yea- The movie will be censored but they will show every scene. I learned that watching the Godfather. Even though Howard was hilarious hosting the Private Parts special
JasonX 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2003 Did they actually say it would be without edit? The word "Uncut" is part of the movie's full title. Are you sure you didn't just hear this instead? The way that they did the promos (plus them airing it at the dead of night) makes me think it wil be truly "uncut" but I wouldn't put it past them bleeping out the F-Word or at the very least, bleeping it out except for when it is crucial to the plot (such as during Uncle Fucker and during Cartman's fight with Saddam at the very end.... Guest Star Ocean 3 Report post Posted July 3, 2003 They'll probably leave all swearing in.
Bored 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2003 I think its so ridiculous that you can't just say and show anything past midnight on television, especially cable. If a kid is up that late watching t.v. then they've probably already heard every curse word there is. On the subject my guess is they will edit the scene where Sadaam whips out the dildo and blur it out.
Guest Mattdotcom Report post Posted July 3, 2003 and although this wouldn't apply to South Park, anytime nudity was involved, it was just blurred out. There IS nudity in South Park: BLU. Two instances: Spoiler (Highlight to Read): When Kenny goes to Heaven and the GIANT CLITORIS at the end.
Guest notJames Report post Posted July 3, 2003 I don't think the second one counts because it ends up being just a giant pink circle (if I remember correctly).
Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted July 3, 2003 I wish cable networks(non-premium) could just get over the "censoring" barrier. Shit, we all PAY FOR CABLE, no matter what network it is. It is 1am in the damn morning, what is the problem, again?
The Dames 0 Report post Posted July 3, 2003 And a loophole that will get a LOT of letters from South Park fans. Remember when they promised to tell everyone who Cartman's father was and used it as an April Fool's joke? I just bought Season 2 on DVD and the first episode was Terrance and Phillip's "Not Without My Anus", the April Fools Episode. Matt Stone and Trey Parker talked about the controversy that surrounded it. EVERYONE shit on it, but that was fucking hilarious. Dames
Guest Some Guy Report post Posted July 3, 2003 I think "uncut" means that every scene will be left in, but certain words will be beeped. Some channels edit the movies for tv and actually cut full scenes out of movies. Which ever channel it is that shows Showgirls all the time does that.
Guest Smues Report post Posted July 3, 2003 I doubt it will be totally uncut, but just a note last year ESPN showed that dumb Bobby Knight movie that had fuck like 30 times along with every other word in the book, and this was in the day time or prime time, I can't remember if it was 5pm or 8pm. If they got away with that surely South park could get away with the movie at 1am.
LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2003 I just saw the commercial and they say and I quote, "this promotion is censored...this movie is not" So it sure sounds like they're showing it uncensored.
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted July 4, 2003 Well, at about 1:07AM on Saturday July 5th, we'll know the answer

Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted July 4, 2003 And the floppy penis. Saddam wielding the floppy penis is the only actual photorealistic nudity in the whole thing.
Guest Ravenbomb Report post Posted July 4, 2003 not true. The second time he wiggled a floppy penis was also photorealistic.

Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 *edited for your protection* Damn slow board.
Conspiracy_Victim 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Well according to TV Guide the movie is "uncut and unedited" so we'll see. They make sure to point out that it is a late showing so I'm kinda thinking CC is trying to get away with it.
