Guest fazzle Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Uncensored. NICE. How come no other cable network has balls this big? Pffft. MTV2 has bigger balls.
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 MTV2 is a digital channel avaliable through an additional fee that gives you a package of several additional channels. Cable+ so to speak and not widely avaliable as a regular cable channel on regular service like comedy central is.
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Ok who's gonna make the first Dupre and Grenier reference?
Guest fazzle Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Well....I guess my cable is different than most then. Available through regular cable here.
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Holy Shit. I mean Ive seen the movie before, but is this the first time ever such explicit language has been on a non premium channel? Nope. Lot of characters say shit on cable, you can't do that on broadcast. Keep in mind there's nothing to keep cable channels from swearing up a storm, but most because of the reaction they'll get. Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Comedy Central has balls the size of gods for doing this shit. Again, there's no laws being broken. There's no FCC control over cable. Your cable company can feel free to cut away to something else if they dont' like it, though.
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Have you ever heard of the emancipation proclomation? I don't listen to hip-hop! LOL
Guest Slapnuts00 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Shit give the World Tag Team Champions THIS as their theme song! It'd be hilarious. Especially since they're really Canandian...
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Isn't shit acceptable on broadcast now? I thought NYPD Blue broke that barrier back when they were controversial . I believe the fuck barrier was first broken by the ESPN movie about Bobby Knight. However, a true story dramatic movie using it is totally different than a "crude" controversial cartoon. DrVenkman PhD 0 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 The bottom line is cable can be a free for all if they chose (within certain limits, I think), it just might piss off advertisers. I don't know, it's not that big of a deal here in Canada since every station, network to cable, does whatever they want... except TSN. The idea there is TSN was licenced for sports, not necrophilia and men beating up women.
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted July 5, 2003 Take out half of the songs and it's a fucking great movie. But with that other half in, they made it a little boring at times. No no no......Every song in the movie was absolutely kick ass. They all made sense, and most of them were funny as fuck. "Up There" is a fucking modern classic. And need I say anything more about the awesomeness that "It's Easy Mmmkay"? I hope they make a second South Park movie.

Canada can show ANYTHING in primetime...CityTV shows movies uncut every day and you will always see some Sex show on Life Network or something.
Guest Texas Small Arms 09 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 And just in case you missed it, they are showing an encore presentation tonight at 1/12C.
Guest Dmann2000 Report post Posted July 5, 2003 "Kyle all those times I called you a dirty Jew, I didn't meant it...you're not Jewish" "Yes I am Cartman, I am Jewish" "No, don't be hard on yourself Kyle"
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted July 6, 2003 "Up There" is a fucking modern classic. And need I say anything more about the awesomeness that "It's Easy Mmmkay"? My personal favorite from that movie was the La Resistance/Blame Canada/Up There/etc. melody. Oh, and did Comedy Central show the scene with Ike at the end after the credits?...
