Guest 5_moves_of_doom Report post Posted July 11, 2003 Yes... though U2 got #1... and they're about ten years past THEIR prime... Have you seen a U2 live show recently? The Elevation Tour quite simply ruled. Twas jizz-worthy. and very expensive, if I recall correctly... so it had better be good I was kind of judging only by the new music they're producing... so, I stand corrected. Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted July 11, 2003 I paid $45 for gen-ad on the Elevation Tour opening and got myself into the heart. Best concert I've ever been to. Mind-blowingly great experience. I tend to think that Andrew WK in a hot, crowded club is a close #2.

Guest nl5xsk1 Report post Posted July 11, 2003 (edited) No GWAR, Rammstein or Moby makes this list a bunch of shit You can't expect Rolling Stone to take fringe artists like Gwar or Rammstein and put them on a list that's supposed to cover multiple genres. I mean, I think Bad Brains should be on the list. Or the Circle Jerks. Or Ozric Tentacles. But I can't see Rolling Stone including them on a list like the one that they put out. Moby might have gotten consideration because he's gotten such commercial success. Edited July 15, 2003 by nl5xsk1
Guest Madmartigan21 Report post Posted July 11, 2003 I would have hoped but not expected Iron Maiden to make the list. But where the FUCK is AC/DC? And why is there a severe lack of love for them in this thread?
Guest HellSpawn Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Kiss not being on the list is a good thing. Ohhhh pyro and spitting fake blood, great show. Please. They stand their like old men while putting nothing even close to emotion into the songs, letting the idiot masses be visually "stunned" by a second rate 4th of July pyro show. I personally think Zombie, Manson and even Rammstein do the whole stage show better because at the end of the night, the performers themselves are still energetic as hell and actually put some effort into their actual performances. They don't just stand back and halfheartedly run through songs while shit blows up, which is exactly what Kiss does. Ah, rant over. OK.. Obviously (sp?) an anal performance on stage or a 90's Boy George are better than 2 and a half hours of music and, Yes, pyros and blood, and flying. But ok, you like that? OK, fine by me. And i do like AC/DC, I just forgot to add them to my prior request.
