Guest HartFan86 Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 ...and I think I liked it way more then I should of. Now, I've heard of the movie and I knew that Bullock was in it, but when I saw it on TBS tonight and I had nothing else to do, I figured I'd check it out. I'll be quite honest and I really enjoyed it. Sure it's the typical chick flick and all, but I just really loved how the storyline played out and there was a few funny parts as well. Comments?
Guest Bosstones Fan Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 Agreed. It came on one of those Sunday afternoon movie showcase things a couple of weeks ago here and, having nothing better to do, I thought I'd give it a shot. Sandra Bullock was more than enough to get my attention to begin with, but I found myself not wanting to change the channel after the first half hour or so. I thought that the whole premise of her pretending to be the guy's fiancee was well done, and I loved how it ended up paying off. Definitely worth checking out at least once.
Guest SweetNSexyDiva Posted July 7, 2003 Report Posted July 7, 2003 Cute movie, though not one of her best.
Guest HellSpawn Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 I like better Bullock's "chick flicks" than Meg Ryan's. WYWS is funny and good.
SpikeFayeJettEdBebop Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 I have never seen the movie so I don;t know why I am posting this, I am just really tired. I don;t really have an oppinion on the film but on a Sunday Afternoon, I agree, THERE IS NOTHING TO DO! So we all turn to TBS,TNT,USA, or some other random network to watch a movie.....I think it's a marketing ploy......nothing cool ever happens on Sundays...so that we watch the movies.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 My favorite Bullock movie......the characters are so endearing and quirky and likable.

We got Football and Nascar... THAT'S about it...
Guest pochorenella Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Nice little movie, in the same vein as ...dare I say it?... When Harry Met Sally or Sleepless in Seattle. Of course the latter two are probably the two greatest romantic comedies of all-time. I'm just saying that WYWS is another great romantic comedy. One of my favorites for sure.
Guest Slingshot Suplex Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Sleepless In Seattle is a comedy? I was bored shitless. WHMS is,of course, great. I'd defintely watch WYWS over Seattle any day.
Guest pochorenella Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Sleepless in Seattle is not a true comedy per se, but I think it falls well in the romantic-comedy category.
Guest Si82 Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 I like the movie and I usually hate that kind of film. I remember seeing a bit of it one night on TV and then I actually sat down and watched it properly on...a Sunday afternoon. But I really did actually enjoy it. Although I still rank "The Wedding Singer" as my favourite romatic comedy.
