Guest AndrewTS Report post Posted July 7, 2003 Oddest damn thing, I pull out my Backlash 2001 DVD (which I got out of town used), and try to play it, and I get an error. I check the disc, and oddly around one of the edges there's a brownish color--it seems as if it changed color under the surface of the disc, and now it doesn't play. Even cleaning and resurfacing hasn't done a damn thing to help. I know the disc is useless now and pitched it, but have you ever seen anything like that? What happened? Guest HellSpawn Report post Posted July 7, 2003 Thats Weird. Do you have your warranty? Both for the DVd player and the DVD.

SpikeFayeJettEdBebop 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 I do know what you mean. Im not sure exacly what it is though. My mom has a DVD player in the living room of my house and I have one in my room but anyway, when I first got Minority Report she borrowed it to see what it was like, played it ONE time in the DVD player in the living room(A real cheap one, got it for like $100,since then, we got a new one) but anyway it stained the back of Disc 1 also and the MR disk NEVER played again so I also just threw it out. Im not sure what it is, but my old DVD player would ruin disks and not play others.
Guest eiker_ir Report post Posted July 8, 2003 DVD rot. I've never experienced this myself with any DVD, but it might me that. however most of the time this ''DVD Rot'' is really a problem with the player or you just have a bad copy of the disc.
Guest Razor Roman Report post Posted July 9, 2003 I know the disc is useless now and pitched it, but have you ever seen anything like that? What happened? YOu should have kept it, bought a new one, returned the old one in the new one's packaging, and got your money back. And if you couldn't get your money back, just get another one and sell it on EBay. It's not really evil, because it truly was defective and you didn't break it! :-)
