Guest CanadianChris Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Well, that was fucking pointless.
Guest teke184 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 I'm wondering what kind of deal Lee extorted out of TNN... I know that they were desperate to get this taken care of quickly since they blew all that money advertising the Spike TV name but it's bullshit that Lee can claim the company was infringing on HIS name. Guest Kingpk Report post Posted July 8, 2003 How much do you think he got? I really don't see how they can't just add one line to the first N and call themselves TMN (The Man Network). Of course, I'm not a TV exec, so I probably don't know much.
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Well, it's already some other station called "The Men's Network" on Dish. I think all they show is like infomercials.
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted July 8, 2003 This was stupid to begin with. Spike Lee is a nutsucker anyway.
Guest kkktookmybabyaway Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Interesting thing about that article -- Lee's working for another Viacom entity...
Guest JMA Report post Posted July 8, 2003 If Spike TV really wants to be "The First Network for Men," it should get better shows. They should really get "Married... With Children." That way we'd have it in syndication on three channels (FX, WB, and Spike TV). They'll need some original shows as well (the animation is a good start). LooseCannon25 0 Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Spike TV is more like a cartoon network than a show for men. Even though i dont mind Ren and Stimpy at all. I'd be happy with WWE programming, some cop shows, something like the Man Show, rerun programs of good shows like MWC, and some good original programming
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Maybe they'll bring back ROLLERJAAAAAAAM!
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Hah, the new Ren and Stimpy is crap. It's too over the top for me. MWC would be a good pick up, although I'm pretty burnt out from that show.
Guest starvenger Report post Posted July 8, 2003 Maybe they'll bring back ROLLERJAAAAAAAM! Hey, you KNOW it just wouldn't be the same without Cyrus around to mock and/or promote it. Still, hot female skaters in bikinis trying to kill each other wouldn't be a bad idea...
