Guest Nanks Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Well?? I want to know how Terra's epic Heat ME went.
Guest sean pyro Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Dark Matches: Pierre Oulette defeated El Tornado WWE Sunday Night Heat Tapings (to air 7/13): Scott Steiner defeated Ruffy Silverstein Triple H defeated Maven La Resistance defeated Bobby Rude & Textbook
Guest Nanks Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Steiner taking on oddly named jobbers on Heat? Delicious. Triple H not even main eventing Heat?? Even better. The Tag Team Champs taking on a jobber team??? That seems stupid.
Guest AndrewTS Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Pierre Oulette?! THE Pierre Oulette?!? Damnit, why couldn't we see that match!!? Sign him and have him manage La Resistance NOW!
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Ruffy Silverstein!!! Guy's a cool little indy heel. I think they've used him before when they go to Canada, he's no Tyson Dux though.
Guest nl5xsk1 Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 I presume that when they show Heat, the hhh match is the main event, but they didn't want his match to occur right before the Booker T title win-match. (heaven forbid the match that follows his have someone more over than he is). Regardless of how much us smarks hate him, you don't have the champ on a show and not hype it as a special occurrence, as the main event.
Guest AndrewTS Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Yeah, it probably will be the main. A SD taping I went to had a match second in the night, right after the dark match, even though the fireworks for Velocity didn't go off until afterwards and that match (Tajiri vs. Noble) ended up being on the Velocity show when I checked it out. Some more detailed things from Cuatro-Uno-Uno: WWE RAW Dark Match, Heat Taping Results & Notes Posted By Ashish on 07.08.03 All the off air happenings from RAW... Thanks to 411 reader Kosta Anoussos for sending in this report. DARK MATCH Pierre Carl Ouellette defeated Unknown Jobber It was very difficult to catch the opponent's name with Pierre Carl getting such a huge pop. Ofcourse, Pierre wrestled in the WWF in 1993 as one part of The Quebecers with Jacques Rougeau, and then again in 1995 as the "evil pirate", Jean-Pierre Lafitte. Ugh. Pierre looked great, dropping a ton of weight as far as doing decent in the ring. Match ended when Pierre hit the Cannonball (moonsault off the top rope.) HEAT TAPINGS - The Coach comes out and Al Snow follows to a pretty big pop and "head" chants. - First ref out is Nick Patrick, who gets booed. Funny stuff. Scott Steiner (with Stacy) d. Silverstein Didn't catch the first name. Steiner gets booed out of the arena. I mean literally, every move he attepted resulted in a boo. Except when Stacy tried getting the crowd to cheer, but that only lasted a couple of seconds. Montreal IS NOT Steiner Country. Triple H d. Maven Pretty long match. Oddly, HHH got a face pop, and people didn't care much for Maven. Match ended with a pedigree. - At this point, Steven Richards comes out for commentary, as the next match is about to take place: La Resistance d. 2 jobbers Again, was unable to get the opponents due to the huge popthat La Resistance received. That huge face pop turned into heel heat however, as La Resistance blasted us for moving away from France and told us we were as bad as the Americans. When the match ended, Steven Richards ran from the commentary position, into the ring, hugged both winners and kissed them on the cheek. I was expecting Sylvain and Rene to kick the crap out of him, but they didn't, opting instead to just stand there with a look of shock in their faces. I guess they enjoyed it... RAW OFF-AIR HAPPENINGS Nothing of note to report between commercials. When RAW went off the air, Kane returned to the back to a chorus of boos. Austin slowly got up, grabbed a beer and started drinking with Lilian Garcia. He picked up the mic and started praising Canadian beer. He then proceeded to drink along with Lilian, and handed a beer to the entire WWE staff that was ringside, including the cameramen. Speaking of cameramen, one of them was celebrating a birthday. To celebrate, Austin brought him into the ring and sang Happy Birthday. The crowd chanted "Stunner" as the cameraman introduced himself as Marty from Philly. He then went on to rip on the crowd, saying how he hated french canadians and wasn't planning on celebrating in a city like Montreal. Pretty funny end to what was an average, typical RAW. MOST HEEL HEAT 1. Shawn Michaels (for the whole screwjob stuff) 2. Chris Jericho (for his heel turn) 3. Test (for beating on Trish) 4. Kane (for beating on Austin) 5. Christian BEST FACE POPS 1. Chris Jericho (pro-Canada, pro-Montreal speech) 2. Steve Austin 3. Booker T (winning the title) 4. Triple H (Heat taping) 5. Kane
Guest AndrewTS Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Who would bother to watch Heat just to see HHH vs. Maven? Some I'm sure, but not too much I don't think.
ChrisMWaters Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 I guess Trips felt he ruined Raw enough for right now, so let's ruin Heat. Though...I'd rather have HHH on Heat permanently than on Raw...*smirk*
Guest Eagan469 Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Dark Matches: Pierre Oulette defeated El Tornado VIVA LA QUEBECERS!
TheOriginalOrangeGoblin Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 *marks out* VIVA LA QUEBECERS~!~!~!
Guest bob_barron Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 They put all of them on HEAT because the Montreal fans always give them the reaction they're not supposed to get
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 It would have been great if HHH had lost the title to Maven on Heat. Just imagine the sheer non-sensicalness of it
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 El Tornado's good too. Looks like they dipped into the Border City roster again.
Guest HollywoodSpikeJenkins Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 The crowd chanted "Stunner" as the cameraman introduced himself as Marty from Philly. He then went on to rip on the crowd, saying how he hated french canadians and wasn't planning on celebrating in a city like Montreal. Pretty funny end to what was an average, typical RAW. Even the Camerman got heel heat from the Canadian crowd. Got to love it.
Guest JMA Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Did Dupree and Grenier forget that they're Canadian again? Stupid WWE.
Guest Goodear Posted July 8, 2003 Report Posted July 8, 2003 Oh please, like Maven should be the one to knock Triple H off the pedistal. That makes no sense.
