Anyone here a fan of the Young Ones?

I was looking at some used videos and found a few of the oldschool Brit-com "The Young Ones" and couldn't decide if I wanted to pull the trigger on the impulse buy or not. I remember them as being funny as all hell, but haven't watched them since I was wicked young so can't figure out if they'd be funny still, or if I'd watch them once and then never watch them again.

 

So, any other fans that can help me figure out if I should pick them up or not?

I still like TYO's, but more for nostalgia than anything. Thet aren't as funny as you remember (and at times cringingly cheesy), but if they're cheap, you could do a lot worse.

I'll admit it, I came into this thread thinking it would be about Hilary Duff, Amanda Bynes, and the Olsen twins.

First of all, I'd have no doubt in my interest in videos with the lovely young ladies that you mention. None at all.

 

Second of all, thanks for your help everyone ... I'll be picking up whatever's left at the store this weekend. For the cheap money, as long as I watch them occasionally they'll be worth the money.

The first episode of Bottom is on the Young Ones DVD as well,which is also hilarious.

 

The first episode of Filthy Rich & Catflap is on it too but I don't think it's anywhere near as good as the other two shows.

Bambi was easily my favourite episode, with them all on University Challenge.

 

I love the moment where Neil takes a hit from a bong and flies to the moon, only for the aliens to send him back.
