Guest goodhelmet Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 It took 3 years but i finally got my hands on VPW2. i know it uses the same engine as No Mercy BUT this game is better in spades. the biggest observation... no slowdown in tag matches. No Mercy may have better gimmick matches BUT most of them have other issues that prevent them from being enjoyable. VPW2 also has a shoot fighting mode which is like having two games in one. the possibilities are endless. the CAW is the same BUT more options to create characters than No mercy. the best wrestling game ever. no question.
Guest jimmy no nose Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 I played that game constantly before No Mercy came out, then by the time I was done with No Mercy I had Fire Pro D and Giant Gram 2000 to play so I didn't really go back to that. I've actually been playing VPW2 now and then the past month or so and I'm liking it more than any other game. If No Mercy didnt have the problems you mentioned it would definitely be the ultimate game.
Guest Spaceman Spiff Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Yeah, this game owns. English Translation Unlocking hidden characters More stuff (hidden attire)
Guest Cavi Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 I love the atmosphere of the arenas in VPW2. Great stuff. The CAW has some nice stuff, like the mask editor, but a few things from No Mercy's CAW are missing like no restrictions on elbow and knee pads. That is understandible though, seeing as the game is based off of WM2K and not NM.
Guest Prototype450 Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 is there any way this game can be downloaded in rom form
Guest MaskedDanger Posted July 9, 2003 Report Posted July 9, 2003 Had this game for about two years now. Still play it today. Awesome Moveset + Various Types of Matches / Wrestling Styles (wrestler, martial artists or shoot) + Mask Editor + Power-Up Finishers + Great Engine + Increased Difficultly = Incredible game experience. Probably the only wrestling game I'd say compares to or outshines No Mercy. (I've unfortunately consistantly missed out of the Fire Pro Series...just never had the right systems.)

Dude! I'm chuffed that you managed to get a copy. The shoot fighting is so, so cool - plus, it confuses all my No Mercy-playing friends when I start hammering the shit out of them with shooters and they can't whip. And of course, VPW2's got the motherfucking GAME OF DEATH SUIT. That in itself makes this the coolest game ever.
Rendclaw Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 Dude, you have to be the biggest Bruce Lee mark since Dirk Diggler.
