I caught the video a week or so ago, and then heard the song on the radio and I dug it. Anyone else heard this song? Anyone like it? Is the rest of the new album any good?

Guest Doyo Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 It is my album of the year so far. "Safe Home" is a good ballad-type song, but I probably like everything else on the album better. There is good mixture of song styles on the album - some thrash, some medium speed, some straight ahead metal. Go buy it if you can. It sold 10,000 copies in it's first week and that pile of crap St. Anger probably sold that in it's first 15 minutes.

I remember the BTM they did for anthrax... its a shame that they were always seen as Metallica/Megadeth/Slayer's little brother. "Only" is one of my favorite songs to play on guitar.

It's kind of off the subject, but did anyone see that Iron Maiden made a point of saying that they wanted fans to bootleg the songs on their new album, with the catch being if you like the songs you should buy the album too? They blatantly said "we're not like Metallica". Considering Metallica made more in the last few years than Maiden's made EVER it shows being cool to your fans compared to being greedy pricks. Back on the subject - I agree that it sucks that Anthrax was always viewed as lesser than Metallica/Megadeth/Slayer.
Guest benoitrulz4life Posted July 10, 2003 Report Posted July 10, 2003 Actually "Safe Home" isn't one of the best songs on the album. Check out "What Doesn't Die", "Any Place But Here", and "Cadillac Rock Box." There's even a song with Roger Daltrey guesting on it!
