Eddie Guerrero.

Even through that ridiculous accent he can still cut a great promo and hit various emotional chords.

I think Bischoff deserves a mention as well, he is so convincing in his role of sleazy boss it is scary. My vote for for best goes to Jericho though, as he has almost single handily made RAW watchable for the last year (emphasis on almost.)

The worst begins and ends with Stephanie. There is just no reason for her being on my TV. Can she act? No. Can she wrestle? No. Is she even that attractive any more? No. She is only gratifying her own ego by being on TV, so we all have to suffer her shrill voice, her horrible facial expressions and angles that are written for no other reason than to give her TV time. Honourable mentions to Sable, Stacy, Test, Brock and HHH.

Where did the "I'm not going to your room!" quote come from.

I was about to ask the same thing. I can't even remember Maven being on TV and having a reason to say that.

Hell yeah. Remember that promo against the Rock with him saying he tore down his daughter's Rock poster? That was so insanely awesome.

Maven's response when Rico pulled out his room keys during their bout on RAW week before last. >_<

Anyway, Steiner acting > Test acting

Steiner trying to act like he was crying = classic, award-winning material

Test trying to act like he was crying = pathetic, why did you even try? :headbang:

the best is the rock. worst undertaker

Bullshit.

Taker's character acting got him the best loved gimmick in wrestling history.

You mean his stiff-as-a-bored acting?? He wore the hat well...

Eddie's promo w. Benoit from the October Smackdown in T.O is a thing of beauty. He goes through a range of emotions against a stoic Benoit - from grief and sadness to rage and disgust.

Personally, I love Tajiri. He's been great in every skit and situation they've had him in since he debuted. From Regal's sidekick to the hospital thing over Tori. I really think they could make straight to video, comedy/action flicks with Tajiri. Imagine Tajiri and RVD in like a kung fu/Cheech and Chong thing. Ah, if only they weren't a public company and didn't have stockholders. They could do so much...

I agree about RVD. They hang him out to dry sometimes because I think they intentionally put him in situations which don't play to his strengths. Just so guys like HHH can insinuate that guys like him and other undercard guys don't have what it takes to main event because they can't cut promos. RVD is best at the laid back arrogant stoner thing. And why can't he be the Whole F'N Show? Why did they have to desensitize it to the Whole Damn Show which never got over because it sucked? There are so many insinuations you could make to get his character over. Have him burning incense in his locker room with wrestlers always talking about the smelly smoke coming from his dressing room. Creative could be creative with the guy and have fun but they don't.

I happen to think that Zach Gowen is very good. Granted the segment with Sable seducing him was just embarassing all around but he has displayed more emotion and range with his in ring promos than a lot of guys who have been around for years.

I think Christian is also one of the best actors. He's really stepped it up since the Rock skits.

Shane Helms could also be really good if they got him out of the Hurricane role.

Randy Orton is good. I'm not impressed with his mic work but he can act.

Booker T is also taken for granted. They could have really made him a legend at Mania' with Lawler and HHH dogging him for his past and his upbringing. Dammit, that was the night he should've gone over!!!!

I think RVD is a great actor if they actually use his gimmick right. Of course, they have to play down the whole stoner thing because of those god-awful anti-drug sponsers they have.

I miss those days.

Anyway, RVD can't really act. Why? Because he's really being himself. So when he cuts promos / is in segments, he's no actor. He's being the real Rob (can't pronounce / spell his real last name), but you know what I mean.

You know what's funny? How a lot of people say that RVD is a bad actor, but he has been in so many movies.

I know he was in Black Mask 2, haven't seen it though. Too bad Jet Li didn't reprise his role. What other movies has Rob been in?

Holy shit, he was on the X-Files? That's tight, I didn't know that. Although I'm sure the episode would have had great comedy relief had Goldust and Kane been in it.

I think the definition of acting needs to be discussed. It's more than just promos, or skits, or interviews. It's about selling your character to the audience, making it so darn realistic you believe he's really like that in real life.

Chris Jericho, in my opinion, has the best acting ability. He's not necessarily funny all the time, but he does all these little things which add to the character he portrays. In recent memory, it's the things he does in his entrance, the cocky version of the original Y2J, the flicking of the hand (a la royalty) to the crowd, the displaying of the abs, the laid back "I've-got-a-match-now-but-I-couldn't-care-less" way he leans on the ropes. That's acting.

The Rock, comes in a VERY close second. With the Rock, it's all about timing. It's all about playing to the crowd. It's all about having the crowd eating off the palm of your hand and feeding them exactly what they want. No doubt, his most recent appearance on the Hi-Lite Reel was rather flaky, but classic Rock has almost never gone wrong. Unfortunately, us smarks now blame him for the standards the WWE holds for its workers.

Worst-

I would say the women, but it won't be fair to them. Their booking has been so haphazard, their feuds are about such inane things (Fat Asses, Who's prettier, I'm a lesbian are you?) that sometimes, it's hard not to blame them for not putting much effort in their acting.

But I think true credit must be given to Victoria. Her crazy gimmick might be wearing old, but there's just so much about the character that she's invested - the deranged desire for the Women's belt, the tearing of hair and the need to grip something when she's aggravated. Her chemistry with Stevie Richards is so well done it's hard to believe the WWE didn't think of that at first. Plus, who can deny the fact that their posing gets the same kind of reaction as that of Hogan and Taker?

Special Mention:

Lilian Garcia. It took someone's urging to realise this, but Lilian has an excellent knack for kayfabing EVERYTHING. When Goldberg or Kane go on a rampage, she's the only one who looks like she'd rather not be there. She smiles at the faces and avoids the heels. Kudos to her for still keeping up appearances, even when she's not required to.
