Guest Austin3164life Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 I don't know if anyone knows already, but I read on the Ross Report that Eddie Guerrero and Rey Mysterio Jr. are headed to the big house at the WWF. Contracts were signed. Sounds like good news.....
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 well i'm glad eddy's back... but rey jr. should stay as far away from the wwf as he can because he's going to get the taka treatment
Guest Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 What, not enough cruiserweights already are'nt being used? Good news for Jakked fans, I guess.
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Now the real test is to capitalize on the cruiser division. As it stands now, the cruisers are gonna be on Smackdown. I was really praying the cruisers would be on Flair's show. Now if I want to enjoy the cruisers I have to watch a McMahon on the same show. Damn!
Guest JHawk Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 My only question woud be "Why did they release Eddy in the first place then?" Probable Answer: If we'd have known he was going to the WWA we wouldn't have.
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 they realesed eddy because he was a drunk. i geuss he's cleaned himself up somewhat
Guest Risk Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Maybe Lynn will come back, but he shouldn't if they are going to treat him wrong.
Guest JHawk Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 If he's cleaned himself up, that's great news! My post was more tongue-in-cheek in nature though. Glad to see Eddy back, and hopefully signing Rey means they'll, you know, push the cruisers somewhat. I won't hold my breath.
Guest Nevermortal Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Why Mysterio? Won't Brock Lesnar eat him by accident?
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 "Why Mysterio? Won't Brock Lesnar eat him by accident?" If the cruiser division stays on Smackdown then Mysterio won't have to worry about being eaten by Lesnar or playing lawn dart for Kevin Nash
Guest cobainwasmurdered Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 does anyone hear actually think that they will use mysterio corectly? because i see him being used as a metal and jakked star ala saturn and funaki. the wwf has never (or at least rarely) known how to use small wrestlers. it's one of vince's flaws that he can't seem to realize that little guys can be stars too. he's to busy getting a hard on for big men.
Guest Zero_Cool Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 I hate Nash and all, but the Lawn Dart Incident from WCW was freaking hilarious. It was a good bump for an 11 year old, of course. And yes, they better push the cruisers.
Guest Austin3164life Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Sounds like to me that Eddie and Rey might go to Raw instead of Smackdown. It'd be better if they did. If Austin does make his return Monday night, he better go to Raw, because something tells me they are the show lacking the talent, compared to Vince's side. Eddie and Rey coming in sounds good during these tough times. Let's hope the bookers can capitalize on this.....
Guest teke184 Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Eddy's release was for Public Relations more than Eddie's problems. After releasing the Road Dogg and Grandmaster Sexay for various drug-related offenses (GMS's offense being VERY public), the WWF had no real choice after Eddie ended up making the news through his reckless driving. On the plus side, al least he didn't blow out Brad Armstrong's knee by hitting him with a car like Juvy did.
Guest El Satanico Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Well it appears that they are actually serious about the cruisers again with all of them being on one show. If they weren't planning on trying the division out again they wouldn't have put them all on one show, so i'd reckon that they are planning on using Misterio correctly They aren't going to put Misterio on Raw. What the hell would be the point of that, unless they are going to show that someone his can hold his own against bigger guy and then he will somehow move to Smackdown and win or feud over the cruiser belt. That would give the cruisers more credibility with the common fans, but i can't see them going through all that trouble. Now Eddy he could easily end up on Raw in a euro or IC feud. Sure Eddy's mic skills would help the cruiser division but Chavo can do that too, so Eddy doesn't HAVE to do it. Eddy being fired could've also just been WWF showing him that they won't take shit and if he fucks up he will be fired. Keep him on the straight and narrow by letting him know they won't stand for it. Some mind fucking brought to us by JR. Yes and the pr was most likely a reason as well.
Guest The Man in Blak Posted March 30, 2002 Report Posted March 30, 2002 Bringing Rey back will be a step in the right direction and, with Chavo~! and any of the other developmental talents, I think the cruiserweight division could get off in the right direction, if they actually let them do their thing. I have to agree with earlier posts about Eddy too - he can be shunted back into the midcard immediately. Just to get off subject a little bit, does anybody know where I can find a video clip of that famous Lawn Dart incident? I taped the Nitro a LONG time ago, but I'd like to have it in digital, just in case I feel the need to make a video montage of "historic" wrestling footage for a website.
