Guest Trivia247 Report post Posted July 12, 2003 There is a rumor that Crash Holly may have exchanged words with at least one member of the creative team, which is what led to his release from the company. WWE now has possession of all the ECW footage. There are discussions about giving Maven a push because of his strong promo skills. (Thanks to The Wrestling Observer Newsletter) Prior to Hulk Hogan and WWE parting ways due to "creative differences", the plan was actually for Hogan to face Vince McMahon in a "Hair vs. Mask" match at Vengeance. Obviously, those plans have been changed and the decision was made to give Hogan's spot to Zach Gowen. Jamal, who was recently released by WWE, has told friends that he plans on working some upcoming Japanese tours. The original plan for the U.S. Title tournament was to have Chris Benoit win the belt. However, sources now expect Billy Gunn to walk away with the strap and begin a feud with Matt Hardy. (Thanks to The Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter) The first meeting between Goldberg and Triple H is scheduled to take place at the 7/20 house show in San Jose, CA. Due to Goldberg's arm injury, this match is up in the air at this point. Goldberg had tubes put in his arm along with the infection being cut out on Tuesday, and will not have the tubes drained until tomorrow. Sources have not ruled out an by Goldberg at Monday's RAW, however, it's highly doubtful that he'll be able to wrestle. Pierre Oulette received a dark match tryout at Monday's RAW. Some of you may remember Oulette for his run as one-half of The Quebecers, who held the WWF World Tag Team Titles on several occasions. Developmental wrestler Nova tore his PCL during a match in Ohio Valley Wrestling and will be out of action for about four months as a result. The rep on Orlando Jordan is that he handles himself very well in the locker room, but is still very green when it comes to his ring work. (Thanks to WrestlingObserver.com & The Pro Wrestling Torch Newsletter) Thanks to A.H. for the following report: I just got done listening to a short interview with WWE Superstar and Hollywood Megastar The Rock on Vancouver's "Rock 101" with host Robin LaRose. It mostly covered his past movies and current movie being taped, but one question definitely was newsworthy. ---Rock said he is in town for the next two months filming "Walking Tall" in a couple locations located just outside of Vancouver, B.C. ---Rock said he misses Summer Time in Florida, as he enjoys the warm weather, unlike Vancouver's weather lately (which has seen sunnier days). ---When asked by LaRose, "Rock when will we see you back on WWE television?" Rock replied, "You will definitely see The Rock on WWE Raw whenever I get the chance, but more likely when the WWE and I are in the same town." He later threw out rumors of two Raw dates that he has agreed to appear on so far and they are Raw in Hollywood on July 21st and that show will set up a match for Raw in Vancouver on August 4th. ---He will NOT be at SummerSlam, even though he said it is one of his favorite shows all year. ---Rock said "Walking Tall" has two tentative release dates, Summer 2004 or Fall 2004. ---Rock was asked about the movie's plot and he said, "Well it is a tale that casts The Rock as a guy who returns to his hometown, stands up to local roughnecks and becomes sheriff." (Johnny) Knoxville will play a local underachiever with a good heart who is deputized by the sheriff. ---Rock said he will be returning to WWE action full time in January, at least as of right now, and will be a big part of WrestleMania XX in New York. ---Rock said he loves Vancouver's hospitality but can't wait to return back to the States to get some American style poontang pie! Pretty funny interview and Rock came off as a face with his usual wise cracks. Batista will be out of action for another 2-3 months until he is able to return to the ring. Mark Jindrak, who is rumored to become the fourth member of Evolution, has yet to impress officials since being brought up to the main roster. Ric Flair talks about his long-forgotten stint in the World Wide Wrestling Federation As far as most fans know, Ric Flair is currently in the midst of his second stint in WWE. However, that’s not exactly true. This is actually Flair’s third stint working for the McMahon family. Continue... on WWE.com
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 12, 2003 Gee...Who wants to bet Rock will have something to do in putting Orton over? Rock+Knoxville? You know the Critics are already drooling over that material... It might just be me but "Walking Tall" has TBS Movies for Men written ALL over it.

Guest jester Report post Posted July 15, 2003 There is a rumor that Crash Holly may have exchanged words with at least one member of the creative team, which is what led to his release from the company. And by drawing attention to himself, management said to Crash "You still work here? We thought we canned you months ago." And then fired him. Shoulda kept his mouth shut.
