I lifted this from Jay Bower's column on 411mania.com.

Also from the Observer Newsletter (And I wish I was making this up), Kurt Angle and Brock Lesnar have been celebrating victory at the end of Smackdown brand house shows in a very unique manor as of late. After the duo clear the ring of the heinous heels, Brock Lesnar has been coming up behind Kurt Angle and pulling his tights up in a thong like fashion. Then, Angle comes up behind Brock Lesnar and does the same. As if this wasn't questionable enough, the two men finish the routine by slapping each other's exposed backsides. WHAT THE HELL? According to Dave Meltzer, the general feeling of fans leaving the arena is an "uneasy" one which is bound to be expected out of such a just plain bizarre celebration. Apparently this behavior has stopped after it crashed and burned in front of live crowds thankfully however. In other news, the August Smackdown brand house show in Key West has sold out the 350,000 seat IslandDome.

I think they mean 35,000 seats, not 350,000.

AS just has to live with the fact that there's nothing wrong with being booked as gay characters.

There's a difference between being booked as gay characters, and acting all gay and enjoying it.

Take Rico, for example: his character is flagrantly gay, but it comes off as either disgusting, or humorous, depending on your sense of humor. It's funny that he embarrasses other wrestlers to put them "off their gameplan;" and it works, too.

How or why did they expect something like that to get over, considering how they condition their fanbase to think about things like that? I mean really.

I looked at the WWE website, and I couldn't find any listing for a Key West house show, let alone any house show taking place in Florida at all that month. But I guessing that it was some attempt at sarcasm. I'll give an "E" for effort.

Man, forget Andre vs. Hulk.

A-Train vs. Funaki is the NEW #1 DRAW OF ALL TIME! :P

Isn't Key West sort of a gay haven?

Why is everything on this board about Anglesault? Why couldn't we just call this "Angle/Brock antics leave fans uneasy" or something? Does every topic have to have someone saying "OMG HOW IS ANGLESAULT GOING TO REACT?!?"

I suppose because he's the manifestation of the uber-SmartMark

I think Vince might be trying to tell the fans something with all the homo-eroticism heard and seen in the promos as of late.

If this was two women pulling up each others skirts and spanking each other no one would care...

But it's not.

Oh, OK, I get it now. Wasn't aware that cities aside from San Fransisco were considered gay havens.

You damn right. :headbang:

Anyway, some things that happen in house shows just aren't meant to be seen on TV, that would warn the fans off.

But it's not.

that's because the whole selling point of the women's division is T & A. the selling point of the main event matches is WRESTLING, PROMOS and STORYLINES. you don't sell a main event and build your world title around homosexual undertones.

if these women were good wrestlers, the focus of the company and supposed to actually look like MAIN EVENT PLAYERS, then i'd care.

Maybe Vince is trying to release some closet homosexual rage in the storylines. Did any one ever think of that?! Huh?!

No...

Remember he was Sexually abused by His mother...

Something that has been evident in some Homosexual Beings...

It wouldn't be all that out of the ordinary that he would have closet repressed homosexual tendendieces...

Kurt Angle needs new music. I'm tired of hearing "You Suck!"

Something by Judy Garland, or Barbara Streisand seems appropriate. ;)

LOL, he needs new music alright, but it should be patriotic-like and not homoerotic.

I would hate to think about how many bare male asses, or men wearing thongs, I have seen from watching "sports entertainment". From those times where the tights have slipping down, to actual running gags and spots, it would probably be quite an unhealthy number.

I mean, Billy, Chuck and Rico alone... then you have HHH's need to strip and spank Kurt Angle numerous times in recent memory...

It's gotta say something about the writers, doesn't it?

Meanwhile, what do the female posters think about seeing guys like Angle in thongs? Is it cool, like most T&A matches are to us in an annoying time wasting way, or is it just wrong?

Posted

That's a tough one, I guess WWE is trying to hand out fanservice for both genders since you hardly see any WWE stars in Playboy/girl.

Although, its pretty disturbing seeing how WWE/Vince has a thing for forcing guys to cut their long hair and wear speedos.

Posted

Yeah, this is just starting to get weird.

Angle and Lesner deserve better than this, they are supposed two main event stars, not two mid card guys that have a hint of homosexuailty.

I'm not saying he is gay because HELLO! He got Karen the hot ass stripper but still interesting guy ya know...

Again...Me thinks Dr. Jho did more then fix his neck...
