Gameshark for PS2

Recommended Posts

I'm thinking about getting gameshark for PS2 I have it for N64 and Game Genie for Super Nintendo but is it worth buying for games like Smackdown and Vice City? I also have Madden and NCAA games but I enjoy playing thos without cheating. Any advice?

No. It's too much work

Examples:

The GameShark is a disc with a Memory Card Sized hardrive that supposedly saves the codes: (for me) It doesn't unless you save everything on Memory Card(execpt for: Inf. Life, $, etc.)

The process for loading it is hard(put disc in, put codes in, take disc out, put game disc in.

WAY too many games. It takes FOREVER to get rid of unwanted games espically ones that have OVER 200 CHEATS.

One good thing: comes with PsOne GameShark disc.

For TOTALLY IMPOSSIBLE GAMES get it, but for stuff like Vice City(easy compared to GTA3) or Smackdown(Easy to get stuff, altough it gets repetitive. The only thing that is hard to unlock is the Divas Movie which is OK at best)don't get it.

Hope this helps.

It depends on what you want to do. The main reason I'd get it is if there are some PS2 games you wanted to use it on as well as some old PS1 games, as the PS2 version comes with the software to work on games for both systems.

This was a big selling point to me because I still have a bunch of old RPGs around that I may or may not have the patience to play through without cheating *COUGHfinalfantasy8anditsbullshit"youhavetostealfromeveryone"crap*

For about ten dollars you can buy a gamebuster disc for the GTA series.

I had bought a Gameshark for my N64 but could never figure it out as I bought a used one with no instructions.

You put the game on top of the GameShark and stick it in the game slot and turn it on, sometimes you have to JAM the bitch in there, and turn the N64 on & off a few times till the little countdown on the GameShark goes on.

the one i have for PS1 is just a thing you put in the back of the system.

Which they should use for PS3 cause opening they game trey WHILE THE THING IS ON makes me feel uneasy.
