Sunday Night HEAT preview for July 13, 2003

Maven will be involved in the biggest match of his life this Sunday night on HEAT, airing at 7/6 CT on TNN.

The original Tough Enough champion will face Triple H this Sunday night! That's right, the World Heavyweight Champion is on HEAT!

Can Maven catapult up the ladder with an upset victory? Find out this Sunday night at 7/6 CT on TNN.

Also in action are Scott Steiner and La Resistance.

Results of the show:

Spoiler (Highlight to Read):

- The Coach comes out and Al Snow follows to a pretty big pop and "head" chants.

- First ref out is Nick Patrick, who gets booed. Funny stuff.

Scott Steiner (with Stacy) d. Silverstein

Didn't catch the first name. Steiner gets booed out of the arena. I mean literally, every move he attepted resulted in a boo. Except when Stacy tried getting the crowd to cheer, but that only lasted a couple of seconds. Montreal IS NOT Steiner Country.

Triple H d. Maven

Pretty long match. Oddly, HHH got a face pop, and people didn't care much for Maven. Match ended with a pedigree.

- At this point, Steven Richards comes out for commentary, as the next match is about to take place:

La Resistance d. 2 jobbers

Again, was unable to get the opponents due to the huge popthat La Resistance received. That huge face pop turned into heel heat however, as La Resistance blasted us for moving away from France and told us we were as bad as the Americans. When the match ended, Steven Richards ran from the commentary position, into the ring, hugged both winners and kissed them on the cheek. I was expecting Sylvain and Rene to kick the crap out of him, but they didn't, opting instead to just stand there with a look of shock in their faces. I guess they enjoyed it...

HA! The lack of interest here CLEARLY shows that HHH isn't gonna draw jack...

Or it shows that this site just doesn't care about him. Has this site ever cared about Triple H since he's returned?

Oh we care...Just in a different light.

A commercial break during a Heat match? That's odd.

Triple H being on Heat doesn't make me want to watch the show even more or even less then I did before.

Is it required for every announcer to give Triple H a verbal BJ?

Man, Maven and HHH were moving around like they haven't taken a dump in 5 days.

That match rocked.

Seriously.

Yes. Yes it is.

I don't get it. HHH can work a pretty damn decent match on Heat, yet he stinks up the joint everywhere else.

I don't get it at all.

Ugh. Coach is such a company man. I'd like to see one announcer say Vince did the wrong thing in Montreal, SS97. They would be fired, of course, but it would be better than all this ass-kissing.

But Vince did do the right thing at the 1997 Survivor Series....

Of course the commetators are going to say the company line! And for the record, while what Vince did sucked, he wasn't in the total wrong. Bret could have done things to prevent his screw job, and this is coming from a Hart fan.

You call that a bury? I WISH he made all his opponents look that good. Practically everybody in the feuds he has been in has looked much worse than Maven did, considering he doesn't even make Raw usually.

I don't know why everyone seems to think that match was so good. The story of the match was very good, but the they moved way too slow for my tastes. It's as if they didn't want to mess up any spots. It came across as chliched. Plus, the crowd was dead and only came alive for the sleeper and the finish. Maven was made to look pretty good, but no one watches Heat, so it'll be forgotten by tomorrow night.

I wasn't placing blame (that's saved for another thread). I just wish the anouncers didn't spew the company line like damn automations.

Compared to HHH's matches in the past 6 months, this was one of the much better ones...that's why it was so good.
