Guest shlidgn90 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 i just listened to this song over at soundclick.com. i love thier style and where they are taking the music. but, due to its heavy techno vibes, they may actually lose some hardcore fans. does anyone have any thoughts on this? rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Is that the new Dre single? That is fucking stunning! The guy talking over the top is fucking annoying tho. Apart from when he says: "This is... unusual."
Guest shlidgn90 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 dont worry about that guy talking over the music, he is just some mixtape dj.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 oh, I know. I d/l'd some songs with the guy on. It's just simultaneously funny and annoying. Song sounds pretty damn good, but It's wierd hearind Big Boi and Andre seperately...
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted July 14, 2003 I cannot seem to find it on Kazaa. Is that the exact title? EDIT: Nevermind, Downloading now, opinion coming soon.
Guest razazteca Report post Posted July 14, 2003 I hate mixtape djs that do that! The song is ok but the annoying dj saying "Hot Nu Shit" "Shoutout" "Exclusive" made me cancel the dl. I shall look for a better mp3 of the song.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted July 14, 2003 I just did the same thing, I will not tolerate that. LMK if you find a good quality verison sans that shouting.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 don't d/l off kazaa. Most of the tracks off the new album off there are the first 30 seconds of whole world, then silence...
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted July 14, 2003 I don't know where else to get files. Besides WinMX I don't ever use anything else, and I will not download a bunch of new software because of adequate virus protection.
Guest Edwin MacPhisto Report post Posted July 14, 2003 Haven't gotten a chance to hear it yet, but I doubt heavy techno vibes are going to put anyone off. You can't really take an Outkast song off an album and judge from that how the rest is going to sound, because they're so varied. I'm interested to see how the "we each do a disc" project works out...and will then be even more eager when they do another straight-up album after it, using everything they learned during their solo forays. rising up out of the back seat-nuh 0 Report post Posted July 14, 2003 For those who haven't heard it yet, it reminds me kinda of a mix between "Red Velvet" and "Humble Mumble(?)" off Stankonia.
Guest El Satanico Report post Posted July 14, 2003 I'm not even wasting my time downloading since it has those god damn DJs screaming.
Guest pinnacleofallthingsmanly Report post Posted July 15, 2003 I'm glad that they're making seperate CDs. Dre (3000?) wants to be an "artist" and Big Boi wants to be a rapper. Dre can write decent lyrics sometimes, but I haven't liked Outkast (Dre) for about two years now.
Guest shlidgn90 Report post Posted July 15, 2003 andre 3000 is one of the best lyricist in the game right now. just listen to stankonia for proof(or better yet his verse on "return of the gangsta")
Guest Snappy Nappy Dugout Report post Posted July 15, 2003 andre 3000 is one of the best lyricist in the game right now. just listen to stankonia for proof(or better yet his verse on "return of the gangsta") Yeah, just ask Em who his fave rapper is..... Yeah I heard, and I really do like it. It's something about that beat, makes you wanna dance.
Guest Just call me Dan Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Any Mix tape DJ clean versions surface yet? Can anyone provide one?
Guest ant_7000 Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Im glad that they are making two seperate albums, because I don't think Dre 3000 has showcase his full lyricism capability. Big Boi is alright but I felt he overshadowed Dre at times on the albums.
