Guest JHawk Report post Posted July 15, 2003 they are doing it...they are giving the reason why he isn't burnt and why they didn't do the makeup route. Too bad it makes no sense. Yes it does (at least compared to usual WWE angles). Â Kane was burned in the fire, as we already knew, but the burns weren't as serious as Kane's psyche made them out to be. If Paul Bearer was still under contract, I'm sure they could have put in something where Bearer had told him how hideous he was when, in reality, he wasn't. Â Not that hard to figure out, and for once I'm satisfied with the explanation.
Guest Sakura Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Right...except it leaves out the part where just weeks ago he took off his mask to reveal that he WAS burnt(bad makoeup job or not, that was the kayfabed storyline). Even after that Austin and Bishchoff continued to act like he was burnt. Â That's not even taking into consideration the fact that DX saw his face and acted like it was burnt. Guest JMA Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Isn't it illegal to set people on fire? Why wasn't Kane arrested?
Guest CaseyJones Report post Posted July 15, 2003 For the same reason Triple H could steal that car during that fight with Nash a few months ago and not get arrested, presumably.
Guest The Czech Republic Report post Posted July 15, 2003 So tell us, which was worse? Stripperella or Raw? Well one had Vince's voice, the other had his ideas. The two hours were painful, but the half hour had the pain of the last 120 minutes pushed into 30. Stripperella was worse.

Guest wwF1587 Report post Posted July 15, 2003 i pretty much skipped RAW tonight.. taped it and only watched gail (which desperately needs to be over to get anywhere) and JR getting set on fire which was disturbingly funny for some reason... the mark in me likes the way this kane angle is going... its the only segments i watch on RAW anymore... btw not that my opinion matters but i cant wait to see what kane does next week.. next week looks like a hot show with shawn micheals/jericho rematch.. Even after that Austin and Bishchoff continued to act like he was burnt. That's not even taking into consideration the fact that DX saw his face and acted like it was burnt. I don't remember them actually saying Kane was burnt once he unmasked, but then I tend to tune JR and the King out a lot of weeks. I think you could probably chalk that up to sweating while wearing the mask if you wanted to.  As for the DX thing...yeah, OK, you stumped me there. Maybe they were disgusted because he wasn't burnt? Guest Sakura Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Ross and King made it pretty clear he was burnt. Ross even went so far as to say Kane was sooo ugly he wasn't even HUMAN.
Guest cabbageboy Report post Posted July 15, 2003 This whole Kane angle seriously could draw money in spite of itself. It has this really bizarre car wreck appeal to it that keeps me mesmerized for some reason. And I must admit, the explanation that Kane had superficial burns and in his mind he was viciously disfigured is much better than I expected. Â I have to worry that RVD is going to be fucked in all of this however.
