Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 15, 2003 All Carried. Like I said he can't work a match
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Don't forget his match with Lance Storm on that Nitro when WCW was good for like 3 weeks in the Summer when Ace was in control...
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 15, 2003 ^ That Match Owned...Seriously...The crowd heat was like Nothing I ever seen for a WCW crowd at that time...
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 15, 2003 You said he hadn't had one good match though. Did you not? I showed you off the top of my head- FOURTEEN good matches
Guest JRE Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Booker T v. Triple H WM (I liked it a lot for some reason) I liked it too. It's also hard to insist that Booker played no part in making any of those matches good. Very hard.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 15, 2003 I was saying before that he can't work a match and thus I said show me One Good One...
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 15, 2003 I did. Booker is STILL rubbed from that god damn Best of 7 series.... HE HAS NOT HAD A SINGLE GOD DAMN GOOD MATCH SINCE! I showed you fourteen good ones. Do you really think Scott Steiner carried him? No. He more then held his own in all of those matches listed.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 15, 2003 ^Hell Steiner carried goldberg to a ***+ Match...
Guest JRE Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Not to mention that Booker pretty much carried Harlem Heat as a team.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Tag Team is a different environment
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 15, 2003 That was just because both guys were allowed to beat the hell out of each other- That's not a carry job. You said he hadn't one good match- I showed you 14 of them.
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted July 15, 2003 You forgot to mention the Booker vs Bret Hart match from BATB,1998. I have to disagree with Bob about the Booker vs Rock match from Summerslam. That match is seriously overrated.
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 15, 2003 There's a bit too much resting and Rock was a little rusty- But it was a good match and was able to bring the crowd back into the show after screwing them over with Austin v. Angle. Shane didn't interfere too much and both guys worked well together
Guest Dangerous A Report post Posted July 15, 2003 I'm more inclined to not like that match because of the booking decision to let Rock go over, not because of Rock himself. I think the resting and stuff was Rock just getting back from movieland. Given more time to get back into ring shape, I'm sure Rock and Booker could've had a classic. Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 15, 2003 They had to have Rock go over after they screwed the fans over with Austin v. Angle
Garth 0 Report post Posted July 15, 2003 No doubt, i think the crowd would of rioted if the Rock hadn't gone over. I was pissed at home seeing Angle get screwed i hate to think what the live crowd would of been like if Rock hadn't beat Booker.
Guest Dynamite Kido Report post Posted July 15, 2003 I don't see any reason to be optimistic about WWE. I enjoy NWA-TNA and my local indy fed GCW. I still watch WWE out of force of habit and because they employ people that I enjoy watching, even though I know they won't be used or pushed properly. Nowadays, when WWE does get something right, it's an exception to the rule. -Patrick because you know Russo's booking is way better......your an idiot

Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Did you see last week's TNA? Russo totally killed the momentum of the hot opening tag match with his stupid, unfunny and dragged out Jeff Jarrett impression. He's overshadowing all the wrestlers and causing AJ to look like a chickenshit champ
Guest PowerPB13 Report post Posted July 15, 2003 Yes, I did see last week's TNA, and I've bought their show for several weeks straight out of a need for SOME decent wrestling product, ANY decent wrestling product. I'm not saying they're perfect, I'm just saying they're better than the "alternative", which is an apathetic powerhouse fed that pushes whoever they feel like because no one can touch them. -Patrick
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 15, 2003 ::waits for everyone to tell Bob how "chicken shit champ" does wonders for one's career::
Guest bob_barron Report post Posted July 15, 2003 TNA has many of the same problems of the WWE. I wouldn't call their wrestling product "decent"-Jeff Jarrett and Russo just kill every show
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted July 15, 2003 I know that they are trying to build credibility with the belt....but Booker seems way too happy with it. Its suppose to be a stepping stone belt, no one is really suppose to be 100% content with it. Would it hurt the title if he says that he is looking forward to this belt to help elevate him back to the main event scene? BTW...Is there even a ME scene? Guest PowerPB13 Report post Posted July 15, 2003 *shrug* That's your opinion. I happen to prefer NWA-TNA and GCW to WWE's current product. At least there's some good wrestling. Suffice it to say that I pay for NWA-TNA every week thanks to all the money I save by NOT buying WWE pay-per-views. -Patrick
