So what? Can I say Savage/Austin is a bigger man, for working a show with an infection, to which I don't even know the extent/consequences of? The trainers PULLED HIM under their discretion from the show. He didn't say "...well, it's a small injury - I better sit myself out for this one".

Keep in mind that was a PPV match- He skipped all of the house shows leading up to it. He didn't wrestle the two RAWs before KOTR either.

You can't, however, exacerbate an arm infection by wrestling. The act of wrestling doesn't facilitate the spreading of the infection.

It's a weakened arm, WHICH WE DON'T WANT GOLDBERG TO RISK INJURY TO SOMEONE ELSE WITH. The main concern here is not with Goldberg, or Austin, or Savage....it's with the opponents that are risking injury facing them.

It doesn't eat away at the bone or anything, it's just painful. Look, an arm infection isn't a broken arm, torn quadricep, pinched nerve, torn hamstring, or bulging disks. It's an infection; therefore, it is NO BIG DEAL. Politics coughcoughHHHcoughcough was the main reason why Goldberg didn't appear on TV for two weeks, not his arm infection.

It wouldn't kill THEM to actually propose a contract that had more dates in the first place. Anyway, to answer your question - the workers below him on the card would probably be pissed, that's he taking home a cut of the house show attendance, especially when his appearances are non-advertised. That means that not only did the WWE not capatalize on his prescence, but they also take the pool of money from the gate (who didn't pay to see Goldberg) and gave a cut to Goldberg anyway.
