Guest El Satanico Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 I usually run a league on NFL.com, but they've started charging a fee for the service this year. Does anyone know of other sites with free leagues, other than yahoo? I'm looking for sites that allow you to do keeper leagues, but any will do.
Agent_Bond34 Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 NFL.com CHARGES to play Fantasy Football? *scratches NFL.com off the list of places to play Fantasy Football* Why did they start doing that, anyway?
Guest ISportsFan Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 I think CBSSportsline.com has one. I hated sportsline's when I did mine there. But, some people like it. Jason
Guest El Satanico Posted July 15, 2003 Report Posted July 15, 2003 CBSsportsline.com is the same as NFL.com. They are partners on it.

Guest MarvinisaLunatic Posted July 18, 2003 Report Posted July 18, 2003 So in other words Yahoo is pretty much the last bastion of free fantasy sports? I figure they'll start charging next year. They won't be able to handle the influx of people who have grown accustomed to free fantasy sports and their set up is pretty good for free. I had been doing Sandbox since 1998 and Yahoo since 2000. Sandbox was probably the best a couple years ago and then they started going downhill about 2 years ago and then they went pay this year ($50 a year for all sports) to try and improve things. Whilest I can understand the idea being paying for fantasy sports, Im not a big enough freak about it to pay for it. I would hate to pay for a league that ends up like every other league I've been in (half dead by the end of the season, esp. in baseball and basketball).
Guest razazteca Posted July 18, 2003 Report Posted July 18, 2003 I would like to sell the Sporting News league again. You have your team and your league -- now you need some players. In Basic Fantasy Football, you can own any player you want, provided you can afford him. To assemble your winning team, you click on "buy and sell players." You can research which players you wish to buy by using our tools to sort by a variety of statistics or to sort by position. We have the most comprehensive sorting tools around! Your roster must consist of 7 players, consisting of 2 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 Team D. With $35,000,000 to start out, and many players to choose from, it takes some strategizing to pick the best bang for your buck at each position Its a money base system on salaries and the teams are smaller.
