Fear of a Black Hat

I see your points, Crucifix. They are valid when looking at it straight on.

But for some reason Fear connected better for me. Don't get me wrong, I dug CB4. But some of it seemed forced while Fear flowed better for me. I also favor the mockumentary style, so I am biased. I didn't find Chris Elliot doing the documentary part funny in CB4 at all.

While Rock and them get some cred for poking fun at themselves, I didn't really see nothing wrong with Cundieff and Co. not doing it. I felt that NWH was so over the top that they were unintentionally being made fun of by their existence.

My $0.02 anyways.

The movies appoach came from opposite sides as Fear of a Black Hat protrayed the "keep it real" movie and CB4 protrayed the "I just play gangster on MTV" image. Both promoted the concept that the music business is all about image. CB4 just had a bigger budget.

I just notice that Deezer D was in both movies! As Otis and one of the Jam Boys.
