I'm a total tape newbie, owning ZERO tapes.

But seriously, WWE has lost me, in terms of brand loyalty. Yes, I may check in too see what Jericho, Rey, Molly or Benoit are doing, but I really can't stand what WWE is doing in terms of the book or wrestling style.

So.

I want to get tapes of ROH, or DVDs, or whatever. But I am not THAT affluent. I would like a list of the top say 5 tapes to buy to get a good start/mix of ROH. What are the best tapes? I've heard they don't book well either, so what are the best tapes?

Maybe I can get my roommates into it?

Probably should look into what I was suggested to look into and buy these:

Crowning A Champion

Honor Invades Boston

Unscripted

Road To The Title

Mind you, I'm in the same boat you are. But I know that I'll be purchasing these ones first.

Disagree on Crowning a Champion-other than the ***** ME, the tape blows.

All Flik's other picks are great. For more recent stuff add:

1st Anniversary Show

Expect the Unexpected

Epic Encounter

Well, not any promotion.

2002 Ted Petty Invitational is THE card, and it craps all over RoH

All good choices. I wasnt really into Honor invades Boston that much. Im not sure why, maybe it was because it came off the back of Crowing a Champion and Road to the title.

I would add the Round Robin in place of honor invades Boston, because that was the show that really confirmed the fact, for me, the ROH was something special.
