Mick Foley book signing

Last night me and two of my friends found out that none other than Mick Foley was doing a book signing in our hometown of Pittsburgh, Pa in a local Borders book store. Of course being the huge Foley marks that we all are had to check it out. We actually got lost going there and thought we were going to miss it. When we showed up there were people everwhere, but they gave out tickets and people where called by groups to meet Foley. We only had to wait about an hour or so to meet him and it totally rocked. Mick is definately the coolest wrestler I have ever met and came of as a genuinely cool guy. He signed my copy of Have a nice day and I got to talk to him shortly. I was so marking out when I met him though. I thanked him for the Hell in a Cell match as I was there in person and thought it was the best thing I had ever seen. He said how much he appreciates it that people loved it so much cause it damn near killed him, and at least it was worth doing if everybody loved it so much. He say every last person there who had a ticket and the signing lasted an extra half hour to forty five minutes past the time he was even suppost to be there. But this is definately one of the wrestling memories I have and won't ever forget.

FOLEY IS GOD!!!! :headbang:

I met Jim Ross at my Borders. It was surreal. Of course I didn't buy his book, I made him sign my RAW ticket from the night before. I asked him who his favorite hoss was, to which he was startled. He then mumbled out something my brother claims was "Hoss means healthy" then answered Stone Cold, followed by more mumbling and added "when he's healthy." He seemed genuinely sad about having to bring up Stone Cold, like I broke JRs heart or something. Dillon Likes Bossman and his brother chose to go to the shelf behind him, with Dillon's little brother mentioning Smark things REALLY loudly, like "Hey Dillon remember NATHAN JONES" JR shook it off. The kids like 13, so we kept trying to get him to go meet JR and say "Hi I'm a 12 year old who uses my Mom's computer and I want to know why you signed Nathan Jones" but he wouldn't.

LMAO

Anyway, its always coolness when you met a wrestler or somebody WWE-related. Once in a while, you get the mean people who still go to the signings which can also be funny depend on what the insult was.

I, myself, never thought Foley was a great wrestler (wrestling-wise), but I enjoyed watching him. He had heart, something wrestlers seem to lack nowdays. Foley was always great to his fans and he is genuinely a nice guy. Just pisses me off how WWE pissed on him (short title reigns, making him lose his last matches). But all the crazy shit he did, I'm glad he did it and didn't lose his life doing so, truly a lucky man Mick is. Congrats to the guy who met him. :headbang:

I met the Rock once, in Miami airport, with his wife... he was really cool. My mom came over and told him she hates wrestling, and I told him to Rock Bottom her, but he didn't. He did however, give me a personal Corporate (at the time) eyebrow.

I've got a positively crazy idea! Why don't some of you actually buy his new book and have him sign THAT, since that's obviously the reason he's having these BOOK signings!!

How about I haven't started my job yet so I don't have any money. But I have Foley is Good and Have a Nice Day on paperback.

Speaking of money do you have to pay to get a ticket or something?

Actually I think it depends on the bookstore. When I went to the signing in NY, you had to purchase Tietam Brown and then he would sign one other item of your choice. I also know the signing in New Jersey this past weekend had the same stipulation. So at those 2 signings, you had to buy the book first and they gave you a wristband or ticket.
