Guest HBK16 Report post Posted July 18, 2003 I am phone shopping and as of right now I think I am going to go with a T Mobile. Its 300 day time minutes, free nights and weekend, and unlimited text messaging. Text messaging is a must for me. I think I break the world record for text in a month. I had over 7000 text in a span of 2 months once. I even got a note in my bill saying that I do the most text he has ever seen. It was funny. I can also download ring tones and thats another thing I look for when looking for a phone. The only bad thing is I hear that they are number 1 in dropped calls. Or pretty close. So I just wanted to hear some other people's oppinions on their cell phones and what you guys recommend or not recommend from experiences.

Guest Bosstones Fan Report post Posted July 18, 2003 I have no use for one of those things. If someone can't get a hold of me at home or at the office, then they probably don't need to get a hold of me at all.
Guest MaxPower27 Report post Posted July 18, 2003 No cellphone for me either. If I need to make an emergency phone call, there are still *GASP* pay phones!! And those only cost 50 cents to tell someone "Come pick me up at the mall" than pay a 75 dollar a month bill to not use the phone.
Guest Vern Gagne Report post Posted July 18, 2003 Don't have one. Unless it's absolutley necessary don't plan on getting one.
Guest Agent of Oblivion Report post Posted July 18, 2003 Campbells 24 oz. Has infinite minutes, but the range is pretty poor, and sound quality definitely isn't the best. There's no games or internet compatibility though.

I've had it for almost a year now and I haven't had any problems. As for the dropped calls, I haven't really experienced any of that to be honest. The only problem I have noticed is the network is busy and it tells you to try again. But that's usually in the afternoon when I'll assume everyone is using their phones. I used to have Sprint for 2 months and got rid of it because the service was shitty. I would constantly get dropped calls and I couldn't make calls from my home because they would always get dropped. I don't know where exactly you live but I live in New York and it's been good for me. If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Guest JangoFett4Hire Report post Posted July 19, 2003 I just read the Cingular will be offering Internet Access thru its phones for stinking 4 bucks a month... WOW. If only that was availible last summer, a certain someone wouldnt have had to leave his lovely partner in a hot tub to give us all play by play of the evening's breaking news, he could have just done it from his own cell phone... Guest DrTom Report post Posted July 19, 2003 A Motorola T720 (basically a digital StarTac with a color screen, games, web browser, etc) thru Verizon Wireless. Both the phone and the provider have been problem-free for the eight months I've had them.

Cingular already offers Internet through their phones.... except it is $6.99/month for me.... Internet over your cell phone is different than the standard..... it uses wap/wml as opposed to html... You can't access the same things.

Oddly, I don't feel dirty about it like I expected to. It's kinda fun actually. If anyone wants to call me, feel free. I put my number up on my AIM away messages all the time now. Come on, call DA SPOON~! EDIT: This is it, the T306:
