I remember back in 1990 after Hogan lost the title at WM 6, Hogan started a feud with Earthquake after the incident where Quake put Hogan out of action for months. Why was Hogan really gone all that time, and what was he doing? Also what really triggered the incident with Earthquake on the Brother Love show?

Hogan went on to make a crap-tacular movie, just like he did every summer from 1989 on. I think it was Suburban Commando.

Earthquake is Big, Fat, and has Minimal Talent. Thats why Hogan feuded with him. He was a MONSTER!!! (You have to say it like that to give it a good effect)

Or it was just random booking, Russo-style...except in 1990

But thats when that whole

IMMORTAL Hulk Hogan shit came from..

After getting squashed by Earthquake he comes back as badder than ever...

not like he didn't do that 5 years prior when Bundy Squashed him while be held down by Don Muroco.... He wasn't Immortal then

So THATS where it came from.

Vince McMahon even made fun of it in 1996 when hyping Warriors return by saying the Warrior easily beat the SELF PROCLAIMED Immortal Hulk Hogan at Wrestlemania VI. (Although McMahon ORGASMED the name every chance he got on Superstars, ditto Gorilla Monsoon and any other babyface commentator.)

Ok not the BIGGEST attack on Hogan Vince did, but still, hate was there!

Ya know, you could insult my mother, burglarize my house, key my car, sexually assault my daughter.........but never, EVER insult Suburban Commando.

Remember Tugboat would read get well letters Hogan got from little kids? And then when Tugboat was injured by Earthquake he was all pissed that no one wrote him anything and he turned heel?

aaaah...those were the days.

I also remember Duggan adorning the 2x4 in Get Well Hulk bracelets at the time.

That was my best wrestling memory ever.

And then they laser-printed postcards from Hulk to thank everyone who wrote in to see him. I got two, one addressed to me and one addressed to just "Hulkamaniac."
