Guest Goodear Report post Posted July 18, 2003 Who would of thought it would take a month since his return for the WWE to actually put Angle over as a serious contender. Even with the Zack-erfearence, it was totally obvious to the watcher that Angle was the one that was doing the damage and winning the match. He was the one that knocked Show out with the steps, he was the one that countered the Greatest Double Team Ever, and he was the one that tapped Benjamin out. Finally, some actual push comes Kurt's way. Huzzah!
Guest Youth N Asia Report post Posted July 18, 2003 That was a suprisingly good brawl. But they had to pick it up after last week's snorefest 3 handicap match
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted July 18, 2003 That match was one of the few really good handicap matches I have ever seen. All the action after the commercial break was classic. And it was nice to see the bookers come up with something different as a finish than Brock's from last week.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 18, 2003 I was very pleased with how thy built Kurt up. First of all, it wasn't the typical "one guy kills the tag champs" handicapped match. Secondly, Zach-ference aside, Kurt himself got rid of Show, Kurt himself got rid of Haas and Kurt himself took care of Shelton. Zach did shit, but enough to not kill the 3 guys. Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted July 18, 2003 All Zach really did was dropkick and provide for a distraction. Then he got layed out.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 18, 2003 Still can't stand him, and he had no real reason to be out there, never mind sucking up the ME scene, but at lest he didn't make anyone look bad.
ChrisMWaters 0 Report post Posted July 18, 2003 Still can't stand him, and he had no real reason to be out there, never mind sucking up the ME scene, but at lest he didn't make anyone look bad. Storyline wise, I think that he ran out there to stick it to Vince McMahon, as McMahon was trying to punish Angle with this match. And Yes, Zack shouldn't be in the main event scene. But he should be given a chance...give him a few months to compete with actual GOOD wrestlers, and we'll see how he does. ...course, I may be biased to Zack as I first saw him in NWA and liked him there. Anyone that can humiliate Road Dogg is cool in my book.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted July 18, 2003 I think the "reason" was to get back at McMahon and since Vince made that match he interjected himself.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 18, 2003 Storyline wise it made Sense for Gowan to be there... Not only did Angle look good in the Ring but they built him nicely in the back as they slowly showing Lesnar as Irritated Suspicious Tweener... Sure it won't go nowhere but at least it's nice for a week.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted July 18, 2003 The reason why Zach interfered was not only because he can stick it to Mr. McMahon, but also didn't Kurt and Brock help out Zach get his contract thusly it wouldn't only make sense for him to help out Kurt? Or is that ^ something we, the fans, aren't supposed to remember?
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 18, 2003 Oh, Lesnar got the apparently required "creative" shit on this week. They can't go a week without making ONE of these guys look bad.

Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted July 18, 2003 But this is the world champ! What kind of face gets kicked out with like, no resistance and then doesn't come back? *shrugs* One that's supposed to look weak and frail and that doesn't stand a chance against his two opponents this coming PPV. Besides, it's a ploy to make Lesnar the "underdog". Why the fuck would they make him the "Baddest Man On The Planet" then make him "Underdog Who's About To Just Squeek Out A Victory" is only solved by this simple phrase: WWE + Logic = Not Compute
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted July 18, 2003 Off-Topic, but relevent: I am a Shelton Benjamin fan, and I can't wait till he makes his move to the upper card.
Guest Lightning Flik Report post Posted July 18, 2003 Off-Topic, but relevent: I am a Shelton Benjamin fan, and I can't wait till he makes his move to the upper card. ...you'll be waiting a long time then as I don't see this happening till at least sometime after Mania 20 at the very least. Guest CanadianChick Report post Posted July 18, 2003 The only thing I didn't like about the Handicap match is that they are using the World Tag Champs to build up the main event. When are they going to have *their* match built up?

Anyone that can humiliate Road Dogg is cool in my book. Exactly the problem... it will always be considered humiliating to the other guy or a fluke when he beats someone, so there's never a case where both guys will come out looking good. He can be used as a side attraction curtain jerker against jobbers and do the moonsault for the live crowds... but he shouldn't ever take up more than a couple minutes on a main show, and never on PPV. When are they going to have *their* match built up? EXCUSE ME? They WERE shown watching Everybody loves REYmond's match. some people are just never satisfied. They didn't even MENTION the match during the main event. TWBTT is just a tool to build the main event. That's all well and good, but they should put a little more effort in building the tag match. And I can't believe I'm getting heat from AngleSault of all people.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Report post Posted July 19, 2003 It's a throw-away match which is used as a springboard to a Kidman/Rey feud that just happens to get Team Angle over in-ring. The bigger problem here is that the tag division is incredibly weak right now and Team Angle doesn't have anyone (good) to feud with for Summerslam.
Guest TheZsaszHorsemen Report post Posted July 19, 2003 I think Zach Gowen should move to RAW and get squashed by HHH, and have the announcers put over as a "rub." Yes, I am damn serious.
Guest TheArchiteck Report post Posted July 19, 2003 Well Big Show is getting the best booking i've seen him in since his WWE career. He's actually looking like a threat and not a pushover.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted July 19, 2003 Definitely. It's amazing they finally used common sense and pushed Big Show as a MONSTER and not a comedy act. What a concept.
Guest Anglesault Report post Posted July 19, 2003 Which coincides with them making Brock look worse than he's ever looked.
Guest Retro Rob Report post Posted July 19, 2003 I just don't like Brock as a happy go lucky face period. He should be kicking ass and taking numbers. Hopefully his heel turn comes sooner than later.
