Guest Taz_mark Report post Posted July 19, 2003 At times it seems like a big ECW rip off(well it is) but I love Corino so it's cool that I can see him on TV every week.

Guest The Last Free Voice Report post Posted July 20, 2003 I like it, it has a great blend of different styles, so there is something for every fan. I dislike that they only show two matches a week, but oh well. Still's better that that other show on mondays, most of the time anyway.
Guest Deviant Report post Posted July 21, 2003 I don't get the tv show, and all I have seen is Reload. I wasn't all that impressed. It started out brilliantly with Red/Crazy and that fantastic 6 man, but once you put in the rest, it loses its appeal to me. There are a lot of guys in MLW that I just can't stand, so personally, it's good, but not good enough to justify me buying tapes.
Guest RedJed Report post Posted July 21, 2003 I've seen pretty much all the TV shows plus a few of their big shows and its pretty good stuff. Certainly not at the level of ECW to me (as far as booking goes, MLW is ok but nothing groundbreaking) but everyone works hard and I like the occasional appearances of Puro workers, which helps. BTW if anyone would like to get a deal going with me for taping future MLW weekly shows, let me know. I had a guy helping me out with that but lost the resources. Guest NoCalMike Report post Posted July 21, 2003 I get to see it when my blackbox decides to work since normally I wouldn't get the Sunshine network. From what I have seen it is pretty damn good. Too much talking though at times, although the good matches usually deliver.

Guest The Notorious CRD Report post Posted July 21, 2003 I've got the first 3 MLW DVDs and my cable company starts broadcasting Underground TV tonight. I'm psyched.
Guest bort Report post Posted July 21, 2003 i downloaded alot of the tv and seen reload, i think there decnt but i think the flodia crowd kills them, from what i have seen they are pretty dead, also the use a bit too much old guys such as Funk and dusty. i also dislike there lighting, i watched one show and the ring lighting pisssed me off soo much
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted July 22, 2003 You havn't watched in a long time. The arena for Hybrid Hell was lighted pretty good and the crowd was generally hot for everything. Rhodes hasn't been at a taping since December 2002. The Extreme Horsemen v Old School Storyline is Pretty Good, although throwing Sandman in there really boggles the mind. Mike Whipwreck Rules by the way.
Chunk 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2003 I just got given a VCD of MLW Underground 07/14/03. Is that the latest one? I havent watched it yet but the clipping of matches eems quite bad.
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted July 22, 2003 What matches were on it that week? I forgot
Chunk 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2003 I havent had a chance to watch it yet. However I did check to see if it ws all there, so I know it starts with Sabu/Whipwreck and ends with a Corino promo.
Guest nWoScorpion Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Oh....The networks will edit matches with too much violence like Sabu v. La Parka 1 from December, where La PArka was bleeding all over the place and Sabu was stabbing him in the face with a spike. Other than that match all the matches were shown in full. I noticed that they dont edit anything for commercial breaks, and jsut restart from where they left off before hand.

Well just to let you know, its not as good as you might hope and think. Its still ok but nothing extra-ordinary. The last show was horrible. But they still do pretty good. What I actually saw was a re-cap of last week, thats why it was clipped. DOH! In my defence though, I was just skimming through it to make sure it was all there. Guest Jesse Report post Posted July 25, 2003 Here's tomorrow night's lineup from Wrestlingobserver - The line-up for tomorrow night's MLW show in Orlando at Tabu Night Club features Steve Corino vs. Mike Awesome for the MLW title, Terry Funk vs. Abdullah the Butcher, C.W. Anderson vs. Steve Williams, Simon Diamond vs. Sandman (stips are that Williams & Sandman must both win singles matches to set up a tag title match against Anderson & Diamond on 8/22), Raven & Norman Smiley vs. C.M. Punk & Michael Shane, pus Sabu, Hit Squad, Jimmy Yang, Homicide, Jerry Lynn, Simply Luscious (Nurse Veronica), Samoan Island Tribe, Mikey Whipwreck, Jim Mitchell, Maximos, Nosawa, Tony Mamaluke, Josh Daniels, Richard Criado and others appearing. I'm really looking forward to it. Funk is a favorite of mine and I've never seen him live.
JustJoe2k5 0 Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Fuego Guerrero (Amazing Red) is also returning to MLW at Rise of the Renegades, I'm guessing he'll face Jimmy Yang. I don't know about Abdullah the Butcher and his never-ending boobs being brought in, but it should be a good hardcore brawl between him and Terry Funk. Guest Jesse Report post Posted July 26, 2003 Yeah, I forgot about Fuego. That should be a good one with him and Yang. I'm hoping Homicide will take Paul London's place against Jerry Lynn. London/Lynn was the main reason I bought my tickets in the first place. Anyway, should be a good show. I'll post results when I get back on Sunday, unless somebody beats me to it. Guest Jesse Report post Posted July 27, 2003 Here's the results from MLW.com just so I don't have to type that much. Results from Rise of the Renegades: **In an impromptu match, "Dr. Death" Steve Williams and The Sandman defeated Simon Diamond and CW Anderson with the stipulation added that if Williams & Sandman defeated the Extreme Horsemen, Anderson & Diamond must defend the Global Tag-Team Crown championship August 22nd. The ending saw Funk come in with the rope still around his neck and stun all three horsemen followed by a top rope Sandmanton. Funk, The Sandman, and "Dr. Death" all then drank and partied with the fans through out the arena to end the show. **MLW World Heavyweight Title Match: MLW World Heavyweight Champion Steve Corino pinned "Gladiator" Mike Awesome to retain the World Heavyweight Championship. At the end of the match, the Extreme Horsemen ran into the ring to attack Mike Awesome leading to Terry Funk returning to the ring attacking Corino with a garbage can. After the match, the Horsemen roped Funk by the neck and hanged the Hardcore Legend before he was helped out by MLW officials. **Bounty Match: Terry Funk defeated Abdullah the Butcher in a violent and bloody match with a cross body block. The match was a classic with the use of forks, broken bottles, and more! **CM Punk & Michael Shane (with Francine) defeated Norman Smiley (with GI Ho) and Raven. **Richard Criado pinned Nosawa with a modified Michinoku Driver 2. **Mikey Whipwreck (with The Sinister Minister) pinned Sabu (Bill Alfonso) after The Sinister Minister threw a fire ball into Sabu's eyes leading to Whipwreck pinning Sabu. **GTC Challenge (both Williams & Sandman must defeat the Extreme Horsemen in singles competition in order to advance to a tag team title shot on 8/22): Simon Diamond pinned The Sandman with the Gem Cutter. **In the impromptu Young Lions Challenge: "Notorious 187" Homicide pinned Jerry Lynn (with The Sinister Minister) with a reversed sunset flip. **GTC Challenge (both Williams & Sandman must defeat the Extreme Horsemen in singles competition in order to advance to a tag team title shot on 8/22): "Dr. Death" Steve Williams pinned "Enforcer" CW Anderson with the backdrop driver. **Samoan Island Tribe and Da Hit Squad went to a no contest. **Josh Daniels defeated Richard Criado. **Los Maximos defeated Jimmy Yang & Tony Mamaluke with the Spanish Fly. Sandman provided a very cool moment at the end of the show when he invited everyone to come to the lobby to take pictures and drink beer, then walked through the crowd to the bar. He stood on the bar while a bunch of us stood around it with our arms up, yelling our asses off. I met Funk, Raven, Dr. Death, Los Maximos, Sandman and Norman Smiley, and all of them were cool as hell, especially Terry.

Guest Jesse Report post Posted July 28, 2003 As far as crowd noise, we were louder than hell last night. I'll be interested to see how it comes across on tv. Markingout is correct, a lot of editing will have to be done. CM Punk taunting the crowd for chanting "You suck dick" at him and Sandman starting a "Pussy" chant towards the Extreme Horsemen are just 2 examples. Unfortunately, Raven lifting GI Ho's shirt to show us her tits will have to be cut as well.
