Guest Austin3164life Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 If there's anything that's lacking in the WWF right now, it's a solid heel stable. Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing the Austin, Angle, Lesnar, Benoit one. Easily could be billed as the most dangerous group of all time (managed by Heyman).....
Guest goodhelmet Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 Out of the choices, the Canadien stable would probably be the most successful and the one I would look forward to the most. And each wrestler brings something different to the table. Plus, Edge and Christian NEED each other.
Guest The Winslow Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 I go with the Canadian stable not out of any real love of Canadiens (but hey, I got nothing against the 51st state either!) but the makeup makes more sense to me. The Angle/Austin/Benoit/Lesner group has some possibilities but the best stables should really only have one talker. Austin and Angle are both great on the mic and it would cut down each of their time. Benoit is pretty over and not much of a talker so it's a good place for him, but Lesner is new and needs to develope his own identity with the fans. Being the silent gorilla in the back isn't going to help him. God kill me if the Cliche gets back together as an on camera force. No, please no, god no, just shoot my ass now. The only good thing would be the vast egos involved possess enough mass to spontaneously develop into a black hole, crushing all of them. I don't even understand the third choice. Guess I am just a putz. The Canadian group has some potential. Edge and Christian haven't fared well alone and they do a good comedy schtick. You get some solid wresltling out of them and the return of the conchairto. Storm is about as spectatuclar as a bag of plain peanuts, but he brings the skillz. Also, if given the opportunity to be in front of the fans as he would in this stable perhaps he could get a bit more of a fanbase as something other than Mr. McStiff. Jericho deserves something after being paired with Stephanie and getting anally probed by HHH, he would also be a great frontman and gives wicked mic, especially as a rude bastard. It would be great to see him turn it up a notch using his friends as the excuse. He could be a mean and nasty as he wanted and would have the backup to protect him. Benoit? Well, he may be short, but he'd be the perfect enforcer for the group.
Guest Austin3164life Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 On that note, would anyone mind seeing an Austin/Angle heel tag team. Both could claim they've been taken out of the spotlight, and they'll destory anyone to reclaim their top status.....could be cool
Guest Anglesault Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 On that note, would anyone mind seeing an Austin/Angle heel tag team. Both could claim they've been taken out of the spotlight, and they'll destory anyone to reclaim their top status.....could be cool I would mark out for that. And as for the Austin/Angle/Lesnar/Benoit stable, as cool as it would be, that's THREE great talkers. Angle/Austin/Heyman. Might be a little overbearing.
Guest Austin3164life Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 Austin could say "I had ta whip Scott Hall's sorry ass in MY SHOW, WRESTLEMANIA, while Hogan an' the Rock were dancin' at Toronto!!". Angle could say "I'm an Olypic Medalist, I've been a two time WWF Champion, and I was put in a wrestling match against a deformity!"......I think it could work....they'd be the two wildcards for both sides. Hey Anglesault, do u have a SN? Mine is AustinSTILLRulz in case your online.....
Guest Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 The Canadian stable's the best idea because they would each have defined roles that could work on either the heel or face side of the ledger. Jericho would be the obvious leader on the mic, either as the sarcastic face that berates whatever heel in need of being knocked down a peg or as the obnoxious heels that the others constantly had to bail out. Benoit would be the enforcer either way, while E&C could be either the strong tag champs or the coward heel group giving Jericho's oponents conchairtos to help him keep him win matches, and hopefully keep his title. I still have no idea why they didn't just give Jericho Storm, Test, and Christian as backup during the HHH feud, but that's neither here nor there. The Booker-Storm- Christian- Kidman group seems interesting, and could give Christian some good mic time, but would really need a purpose to keep from flailing around. Perhaps Booker could lead them in an uprising against the Rock, Hogan, and any other main eventer hogging their ring time with annoying promos. Seeing these four give Hogan the kind of beatdown the NWO did on Smackdown, except with actual wrestling moves, would be great. But since that would never happen, I'll go with the Canadians.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 I hate stables because that means DQ's, run-ins and various other lame finishers.
Guest The Electrifyer Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 I like the las, Canadian one the best. The clique stable is useless, nobody gives a damn about them anymore. The third one just wont get any heat and I can't imagine the people in the first one being together. I like the 1st one, but the Canadian one is better. And RetroRob215, no matter how much you may hate stables, they draw more ratings than one on one feuds.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 Electrifyer, are you trying to tell me that the Nation of Domination, DOA, Los Boriquas, NWO Wolfpack, LWO, and Kai En Tai are draws. For every ten stables only 1 them actually gains a following. The only three stables that have generated money or ratings in the history of wrestling were The Horsemen, NWO (until B/W-Red feud ) and DX (until 99) and if you really want to stretch it, The Corperate Ministy debacle. If you ask me, Steve Austin alone has generated more money and ratings than any stable
Guest The Electrifyer Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 I'm not saying that all stables generate big ratings, but if it were a crappy stable vs another crappy stable feud, I'm betting more people would like to see that then two crappy guys going one on one.
Guest RetroRob215 Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 Just of curiousity, were you watching the WWF when the Los Bouriquas fought DOA for about 6 different PPV's? There was a DOA-Boriquas match at Ground Zero which sucked, there was also a Pillman-Goldust match at Ground Zero that sucked. Which one would you rather watch?
Guest The Electrifyer Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 I know that The Bouriquos/DOA feud sucked, but if a stable vs. stable feud was built up with the same amount of time and same way as a one on one feud, I would bet more people would see the stable feud than the one on one feud. And I don't care if "DQ's, run-ins and various other lame finishers" occur in stable feuds, cuz they happen in most one on one matches too.
Guest X-Factor Corperation Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 Of those the only one that doesn't break rules is the cliq one and I'd like to see that.
Guest The Masked Yodeler Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 I want to see a Brock Lesnar / Mike Awesome / Sean O'Haire / Ron Waterman stable managed by Paul Heyman. 4 huge guys who can do cool power moves managed by one of the best talkers alive. I'd mark for it. They could just tear their way through the entire roster while Heyman cuts promos the whole damn time.
Guest The Masked Yodeler Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 yeah, we were talking about it on WDI, so it's not all my idea. I did come up with the fourth man, Ron Waterman, though.
Guest Cataclysm911 Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 Raven's nest Raven Saturn Kidman Stevie Richards Kanyon
Guest Ravenbomb Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 yeah, where the hell was the flock in that poll?
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 A heel Rock-led stable similar to the Corporation. A bunch of cocky heels that wear fancy clothes, tell off the crowd, and act like arrrogant assholes. Maybe with Vince as the figurehead leader so they have all the power on Smackdown. Not sure who else to put in though.
Guest thebear Posted March 31, 2002 Report Posted March 31, 2002 What about heyman bringing in 3 or 4 developmental guys, and forming a stable... maybe : Lesnar RC Haas Prototype then grab one established name... maybe booker t or an undercard veteran...
