Just got back from Lollapalooza here in Cleveland. Audioslave stole the show with a blistering set...they even covered the white stripes!!

 

Anybody else see them on tour this summer?

I really can't stand Audioslave's brand of extremely generic modern rock, but Jane's Addiction are good stuff, as are Jurassic Five and Queens Of The Stone Age. They aren't enough to make me dish out the dough, though, and coupled with my anger that the Mooney Suzuki won't be at the Kansas City date, I've decided to skip it.

Glad to see there's another Mooney Suzuki fan out there. My friend Jessica married their guitarist Tyler last year and does a lot of their photography. His family owns a apple farm in NJ where we get our pumpkins every Halloween. Great guy, great music.

 

As for the tour, I had my fill with the first Lolla, so I'll just leave this one to the young'uns.

I'll be going Sunday if I got press tickets (aka, free). If I didn't get them, fuck 'em.

 

I've got free tickets for Type O Negative, Ozzfest, Warped Tour, Manson single show, Aguilera/Timberlake (photography, nothing more), Sister Hazel, Eve 6, and I haven't even started to get the minor things that are on my list for August, so if I don't get Lollaalooza, ehhhh. No one there I'm going to mark out for, minus Steve-O and some Distillers.
