Guest caboose Report post Posted July 21, 2003 What is your most loved part of wrestling? You know that one thing that constantly hooks you on the world of wrestling. Is it the pagentry? The drama? The Athleticism? The controlled violence? Or is simply the T&A? My favourite part of wrestling is the moment of 'mark-out'. For me nothing else compares to it. In that one moment of 'mark-out' Everything else about wrestling is forgotten. You forget Wrestling is staged, you forget that its scripted, you forget that the wrestlers do not hate each other. For that one moment, it all becomes real, you cannot tell the difference, you believe in it and love every last bit of it. When A 'mark-out' moment is executed properly, nothing else matters when I'm marking out, I get a chill down my spine and I leap of my feet. For me it's like I've become a part of the show itself. I believe in Wrestling and all that it represents. For that moment of 'mark-out', I'm in a state of unconditional joy... Examples: Sting destorying the nWo, Austin helping Rocky win the title, Foley falling through the cell against Triple H and retiring... For all those moments I got lost in it all, the over-the-top dramatics, the crowd's reactions, the wrestler's actions ceased being 'fake', I believe what I'm seeing is real, and I love every last second of it. I love marking out...
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 21, 2003 It's an interesting thing to ask... I certaintly like the DRAMA and Pagenty that WWE brings to it's show... I could never COMPLETELY hook into a match like ROH mainly because it's so BLEH looking. THE MARK OUT is what makes us still cling to this business. I love Psychology searching on repeat Watching...Thus...Is why "Live" some matches aren't as great as they are when you see them for the 32nd time on your worn out tape... The interaction between the Performers and the Marks... Wrestling is...Beautiful when done right.

LaParkaYourCar 0 Report post Posted July 21, 2003 I love that when done right wrestling is a work of art...a thing of beauty. People can say all they want about it being fake, but when at it's best it can leave you in awe much more than most "real" sports. A great Flair/Steamboat match can reel me in more than a good football game can.
Guest papacita Report post Posted July 21, 2003 The drama, and the over the top characters. Matches and mark out moments are great too.

Guest BAR Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Marking out for the wrestlers that I mark out for, yeah. And when any of the following are in the ring, especially with eachother: Ric Flair, Dynamite Kid, Bret Hart, Jyushin Lyger, Owen Hart, Curt Hennig, Cactus Jack, and the like. cmclennan 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2003 I watch wrestling for two things: Great wrestling, and great interviews. But, since interviews are rarely of any quality, it's only the wrestling that I like.
