Guest oldschoolwrestling Report post Posted July 21, 2003 Former WWE star speaks on variety of topics... This past week NHB had the pleasure to catch up with former WWE superstar Jeff Hardy. The interview was conducted following the Ring of Honor show on Saturday night in Elizabeth, NJ. We'd like to thank the folks at ROH for putting on an outstanding show and for conducting themselves professionally behind the scenes as well. As we tell you each and every week, our goal is to bring you the biggest names in the wrestling business and if you'd like to hear the show in your area, we ask you to show your support by logging on to www.noholdsbarredwrestling.com and filling out our petition on the main page and e-mailing it to [email protected]. Now on to the highlights from our interview with Jeff Hardy. Jeff started by saying that his appearance with Ring of Honor was a one time deal but he really enjoyed it. He said he first became aware of the group while watching a video inside a limousine with his brother Matt while they were on their book tour. He said he remembered really enjoying the product and felt that if he ever got released by the WWE that ROH would be a place he'd like to work at. He said he loved being able to come out with the Willow The Wisp mask and said he always enjoyed doing it on Independent shows in the past. He said he wasn't phased when the crowd booed him during his match and said that it wasn't as bad because there were a lot of girls screaming their heads off popping for him. He said he decided to use it to his advantage by shouting 4 times during his match at the male dominant crowd "You Paid To See Me" but he added that he was surprised to an extent because most of the crowd were former ECW fans who appreciate the risks taken inside the ring and based on who he is and what he's done he felt he would have been given more respect then that. He closed the statement by saying the fans have a right to boo him and it's no big deal because some people are idiots and you can't change that. Jeff said his emphasis right now is to continue working on his music and he says he plans to spend a lot of time working on it over the next 2 months. He mentioned that it's been nice not having to fly out for shows every single week and that he's had a lot of time to relax and re-do his motocross track. He said he does miss being in the ring and always will and eventually will probably find his passion and love for the business again but right now it's time to concentrate on other things. He talked about the release of his first song titled "Home" which is on the Omega website. He said the site is a small site but it has been getting a lot of reaction since they put it online. He said he hopes to make more material available over the next few months. He said that he still follows the WWE program but he doesn't watch RAW that often because the last time he watched it he felt it was ridiculous. He felt that Smackdown on the other hand has produced some great shows and he feels it is the superior product right now. He said he's also glad to see his brother is getting over and doing really well as a hell on the program. He said the WWE schedule is very grueling and it's easy to get burned out by it. He said his dream was to wrestle for the WWE and it still is. He said there have been times where he's almost broke down and cried from not being able to be a part of it. He said he enjoys being able to be home but he also has been missing it really bad because he spent a lot of time and worked really hard to get there and he gave it up. He noted that he was arriving late for shows and at that point he really didn't care and he needed to be released in order for him to realize how much he loved it. He said as much as he loves wrestling though he also loves music and says there's no better feeling then when writing a song and watching it do well. He said his timetable for a return to the WWE will have a lot to do with how his music career does. He said he definitely envisions returning down the road but isn't sure when that will be but when he does he feels it will be awesome because in his estimation comebacks are always great and he hopes to make his one of the biggest of all time. Jeff also informed us that since being released by the WWE he is shut off from receiving royalties from his book sales. He added that it really sucks having things go that way because he did a lot to promote the book and feels that he should be entitled to his fair share. He joked that he may have to kiss Matt's rear end in order to receive some extra cut from book sales. Jeff ended the interview talking about his future plans with regards to working on the independent scene. He said that he plans to do 1 more show on the west coast because he's already committed to it but after that he plans to stay away from the ring for a bit. Guest caboose Report post Posted July 21, 2003 He said he remembered really enjoying the product and felt that if he ever got released by the WWE that ROH would be a place he'd like to work at. So he was expecting a release for a while then? Why did it take so long?
Guest Jobber of the Week Report post Posted July 21, 2003 I guess they brought a translator that can speak the mysterious language of Jeff Hardy. And where is the airy visions and characters that live in his head? He said that he still follows the WWE program but he doesn't watch RAW that often because the last time he watched it he felt it was ridiculous. Man, when a guy like THIS thinks Raw is ridiculous, it's time to quit watching.

Guest Quik Report post Posted July 21, 2003 I want to smoke pot with Jeff Hardy. God, that'll be an experience. "Wanna build statues out of tin foil?" "I don't think so, Jeff."
Guest Ram Report post Posted July 21, 2003 I wonder how much pot you'd have to smoke to be on par with Jeff when he's NOT smoking whatever.
Guest Coffey Report post Posted July 21, 2003 He closed the statement by saying the fans have a right to boo him and it's no big deal because some people are idiots and you can't change that. Jeff Hardy: Like him, or you're an idiot. I quit reading the article right there. Who the fuck does this faggot bastard think he is? We as fans aren't allowed to like whom we want to? If we don't like Jeff Hardy we're idiots? Fuck him. Just because he sucks he gets all pissy when people "boo" his ass. I've never liked Jeff Hardy that much. I appreciate the bumps that he took for the business, but he had to know that when he became the bump machine in WWE that his career would never amount to anything. Is Jeff Hardy trying to say that all the fucking teenage girls that pop because they think he is hot are smarter than the ECW alumni? Half them ECW fans probably know more about the business than he does. Ungrateful prick. I hope he gets hit by a train. EDIT: I just wanted to point out how immature this post reads. I'm not going to edit it however, because this is what I sound like when I'm pissed. LOL!
