Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted July 21, 2003 First off, I bought 3 CDs yesterday I've been meaning to buy, and a DVD I've been putting off for God knows how long that I should've bought months ago. Then, my mother meets my girlfriend Heather, and they get along, and my mother invites Heather over to my baby niece's birthday party in 2 weeks. And THEN, Heather says she loves Shadows Fall. I've converted ANOTHER~! And, to top the past 3 days off... I'm going to see Iron Maiden and Motörhead in about an hour. W00T W00T~!
Guest justsoyouknow Report post Posted July 21, 2003 Iron Maiden, Motorhead, and Dio, mind you.
Guest BAR Report post Posted July 21, 2003 Lucky guy, I've just started getting into Maiden. The most interesting thing I've done lately is listened to a best of Elvis CD and watched Donnie Brasco.
Guest CoreyLazarus416 Report post Posted July 22, 2003 justsoyouknow, I'd rather forget Dio was ever born. His music is THAT irritating. The show was crap until Maiden came on. Motörhead was ripping it up...BUT, they went on first. Now, one would think that a band that has influenced the state of hard rock as much as Motörhead has would go on right before the headliner, no? NO! They went on before the Troll. 35 minute set, and no "Orgasmatron" or "Sacrifice." Still ripped shit up, but the place was barely half full at the time. Dio sucked. I fell asleep three fucking times. I want him to stop being a flaming Troll and quit music forever. Iron Maiden made the show worth it. Bruce is the fucking MAN. They played so many classics (I think the only well-known pre-Blaze tunes they didn't play were "Flight Of Icarus" and "Wrathchild," really)...and Bruce made fun of Metallica! Guest justsoyouknow Report post Posted July 22, 2003 But....but....but.....Rainbow in the Dark.... Yeah, I agree, Dio sucks major ass. I was just pointing out that you "forgot" to mention him. They come here on the 22nd of August, I'm pondering whether or not my friends and I are actually going to it, though....
B. Brian Brunzell 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2003 What were the three cd's you purchased, Corey? If you don't mind my asking, of course.
Guest Choken One Report post Posted July 22, 2003 " The Best of Celine Dion" was one of them...Don't deny it Laz...I saw you!
Rendclaw 0 Report post Posted July 22, 2003 Damn, I want to go to Maiden at the DTE in 8/25... I haven't seen them since 1996, when I caught Dave Murray's wristband and Steve Harris caught some energy off of me screaming at him.... Adrian Smith is one of my favorite guitar players ever along with Dave... BAR, you cannot go wrong with Pre-Blaze Maiden. I was ripping and burning a "Best Of Maiden" set of CDs and there are only three or four songs from the Blaze era that actually made the cut.
Guest redbaron51 Report post Posted July 22, 2003 the only song I liked from the Blaze era was Sign of the Cross
Guest Nevermortal Report post Posted July 22, 2003 You should've asked Lemmy why he made that shitty Evolution music.
Guest The Metal Maniac Report post Posted July 22, 2003 For the record, while the Pre-Blaze reccomendation is probably correct (Even though I think I'm the only person on earth who doesn't hate him) don't mistake that as ONLY pre-Blaze stuff. Brave New World and Rock in Rio both own your balls. Good, GOOD stuff. Oh, and I hate every single one of you who gets to see Maiden live, because I live in Bumblefuck Nowhere and I get to see nothing.
