Guest Jobber of the Week Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 No problems with anything but the Randy "Suckbag" Orton continued push, though. "Suckbag" is nice, but I like "The BitcHHH" myself.
Guest Just call me Dan Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Rock getting the clean win on austin, Lesnar over Undertaker and Rock would also qualify in this category.
Guest Mulatto Heat Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 ViciousFish, no, it won't. That's an opinion that has nothing to do with what you said earlier, which was matter-of-fact.

Guest jester Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 I have to agree with Bob Barron on this one. The match was too slow, and it sucked the life out of the crowd. The commentary and presentation was horrible. In addition to the commercial break, you'd see things like the camera sitting on the two of them while they were lying around exhausted, and then starting a replay AFTER they got up and started wrestling again. It was all really bush league. I have to say this though: the booking would have been perfect...had Jericho gone over at WM. Oh, and BitcHHH is the perfect name for Randy Orton.
Guest Army Eye Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Or Jericho didn't want to cause he knew of HBK's history with the move Shawn: ok Chris I'll put you in the sharpshooter, then eventually you'll reverse it and get the victory. Got it? Jericho: Uhh let's go with a different finish..

Guest Trivia247 Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 it may not have been as good as the WM match....but its still about the best match on Raw we seen in a good long while on Raw.
Guest RavishingRickRudo Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Did anybody else start to get worried when HBK almost put Jericho in the Walls? <-----
Guest Askewniverse Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Did anybody else start to get worried when HBK almost put Jericho in the Walls? I did. Which reminds me, was Hebner the referee for the match?

Guest Army Eye Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Did anybody else start to get worried when HBK almost put Jericho in the Walls? haha.. a little bit.. but not nearly as much as if the match was in Montreal
Guest Choken One Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Not just in Montreal but ANYWHERE in Bret's Hometown of Canada.
Guest Anglesault Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Not just in Montreal but ANYWHERE in Bret's Hometown of Canada. I hear not only all of Canada, but parts of Yugoslavia are considered Bret's hometown.
Guest TheGame2705 Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 So much for everyone telling WWE to put Canada behind them. And Bob, you bitch about how the match was ruined just because Jericho jobbed. I don't bitch about the match or WM, I just bitch about Brock and how someone who's blowing that big of a spot shouldn't get a spot in the main.
Guest papacita Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 I pretty much agree with what's been said. The match itself was fine (could've done without the Orton/Flair interference), but the slow pace murdered the crowd. And God knows I wanted to reach through the TV and stab Lawler during the match. It's supposed to be the rematch of the year and he's rambling on and on about JR. "Oh I miss JR. I wish JR would come back. Coach, I think you're happy JR got burned last week!" I wish he'd get off JR's dick and call the damn matches.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Not just in Montreal but ANYWHERE in Bret's Hometown of Canada. Keep in mind that Bret Hart is pretty much a national hero in Canada. Especially in 1997, when you saw Hart Foundation shirts everywhere up here.
Guest Choken One Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Yeah we know...Bret is Jesus in Canada...News at a 11. Bret and Wayne. Wow. Who does America have? Kobe and Tyson. Eh...

Guest Dynamite Kido Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Honestly, I don't care what the announcers said or how the interference came off. I think Jericho was booked incedibly strong as he made Michaels tap out. That fact alone made it so that the interference is a moot point. I also don't think that Michaels lost too much from doing the job and I thought the match came off incredible. The psychology was good, the length of the match was good enough and it actually "made" the show for me.

chaosrage Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 I thought the mat work at the beginning was good (Jericho totally carried this) I know everybody loves the King of Bling Bling, but wtf? The first 5 minutes came straight from ironman.
Guest Choken One Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Just to reign in here... What happened to "KING OF THE WORLD"? I am not digging "KING OF BLING BLING"

Guest Choken One Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 I think Bret is just a sad pathetic depressing stuck in the past case of beliving his own hype.
Guest Kahran Ramsus Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 I think Bret is just a sad pathetic depressing stuck in the past case of beliving his own hype. That's true. It is eerie how similar Bret Hart & Shawn Michaels are after all these years.
Guest Choken One Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 How so? Shawn is still happy...Has a hot wife...Is still running the game backstage...Wrestling in front 59,000 at mania...Has faith... Bret is sitting in cold Calgary all alone.

I am not digging "KING OF BLING BLING" Jericho has said that he likes to change his catchphrases every so often to keep them fresh. He also used to have- the Highlight of the Night as well
