THERE'S ONLY ONE DECENT LESTER!

ONE DECENT LESTER!

THERE'S ONLY ONE DECENT LESTER!

Great header for the winner and plenty of trademark diving from Jackie-boy. Great to having him back.

BRING ON THE DERBY! :headbang:

What a game unfortunatly the quarterfinal won´t be pretty because of all the yellowcards shown today. But what the hell.

So the league cup, FA cup and UEFA cup treble wasn't enough for you to be happy then? Consistantly being in the top 5 in the Premiership for the last 5 years wasn't enough for you to be happy?

I hate Premier League fans.

Look on the bright side, At least your club has won a major trophy in their lifetime, all Bristol City is known for is being a club that has been asleep for 25 years, being 1 of the few clubs to go from Division 1 to 4 in straight years, the bankruptcy scare in 82 where 8 players voluntarily had their contracts cancelled, ending the Liverpool reign of Graeme Souness and turning Andy Cole and Ade Akinbiyi into 5 Million Pound Players.

Liverpool have more activity in a decade than we have had in a 100 years.

Edit: I'd kill for us to be in the premiership, we may take the piss out of Swindon for letting in a hundred goals and lasting one season there but we'd have loved to have been them for that season.

I've a feeling that he'll be gone if you don't beat Leicester on Friday, since it's on Sky I'm guessing there'll be lots of "Kinnear out" banners.

Edit: Personally I think you'll have a hard job beating Leicester, they've got a really good Goalie in Stuart Taylor and I think some of your players are just counting the days until January 1st.

Champions League is now down to the final 16. The draws will happen Friday Dec 17th. With very few established teams such as A.C. Milan, Aresenal, Inter Milan, and Juventus comming in first in their group. In second spot there is Manchester Utd, Liverpool, Porto, and Real Madrid. So there is a 50% chance that two established teams will face off. This is the first year that it has a chance of turning out like this if that happens many good teams will go out in the first round. Either way I think Juventus is going to take the cup. I do not think there going to take it because they are an Italian team the amount of talent they have on the team and their record speaks for itself. Juventus conceeded only one goal in Champions League and that was when they played the back-up team and it was conceeded on a Penalty shot. They are still undefeated in champions league and only have one loss in Serie A. With Carnavarro and Thuram at the back and Buffon in goal it is extremely difficult to score a goal. Upfront you have countless options with Del Piero, Ibra, Zaleta, and Trezeguet(who will be back in Jan). Supporting the forwards you have Zambrotta and Nedved and to top it all off you have one of the best Italian coaches Fabio Capello. The team is stacked from top to bottom and looks unbeatable. So that's why I'm chosing Juventus to come out on top in Champions League.

I'll be amazed if Leicester don't beat us. Taylor is class, for this division anyway, and, well, they have a manager who isn't a complete waste of space, which is always an advantage. Although we are yet to lose on Sky this season, and I think have never been defeated on a Friday... no, I'm not even kidding myself anymore.

Reid was, shockingly, the only player to show any real passion out there today. I can only presume he knew some scouts were at the ground.

And Chelsea for the Champions League. But only because they don't have to face us in it of course :D

Kinnear still hasn't quit/been sacked.

I don't even remember being so angry and embarrassed when Platt when he was in charge, although Derby were in the Prem at that point so they couldn't thrash us.

I cannot fucking sleep I'm so pissed off at this club....

I shall be at the ground early for Leicester game to take part in the protest, not that it will make any difference, but at least it's a way of showing how I feel about the way the club is being run.

Derby are 3-0 up and Burley is standing up, yelling and making points to his players... and good old Joe is sat there, arms folded watching the game. At least fucking pretend you give a shit Joe!

God damn I'm pissed off.

Excellent article on a Forest fan site -

Sometimes it is extraordinarily difficult to put your feelings into words, isn't it? Sometimes your feelings are confused, sometimes the issues you're thinking about are too sensitive, sometimes you simply haven't the heart to say what you really think.

This is not one of those occasions. Mister Stress's declaration after the Derby match that Kinnear was "a dangerous fraud who had to go" seemed to sum things up neatly. The rest was simply a case of scattering the last bits of evidence like dirt on his coffin lid.

Everything that is wrong with Forest seemed to be summed up in our visit to Derby, as if a malevolent God had saved up all our troubles and unleashed them on us in the most humiliating way in the most unpleasant place on earth.

According to the Fat Controller, this was just another match. This was a breathtakingly stupid thing to say, but no more stupid or insensitive than referring to "the Nottingham Forest way" with that sly contempt which passes for a joke in Kinnear circles. If he despises the football club's traditions, why the hell did he turn up for the interview in the first place?

Or perhaps it was always his intention to destroy what he found, and rebuild it in his own image. If that was the case, his image seems to be a dreadfully ugly thing. What was on display at Pride Park was a football team of limited ability with a good manager and a strong desire to win. Up against them was a fragile excuse of a side, its ability drained out of it by misdirection, dwindling confidence, and a leadership policy based on irrational bullying.

Do you remember the Platt years? Do you remember that week after week Mister Platt used to muck around with team selection and substitution to such an extent that the team ended up with no pattern or cohesion at all? Well, Kinnear's up to the same trick. As "You don't know what you're doing" rang in his ears, he made some kind of vague gesture with his hand. We doubt it was an acknowledgement that we were right.

This is boring, because it's too easy and it's too obvious. Anyone who still thinks that Kinnear is the right manager for Forest must be abysmally stupid. And it's not just a matter of opinion any more - even the numbers are stacking up against him. Forest have to win ten more games to stay up. There are twenty three games left. Forest have to win virtually half their remaining games. It's all very worrying. It's worrying that we're stuck with a manager who sits glumly in the dugout shaking his head, who calls critics "morons", who takes off strikers when we're losing, who plays the wrong people in the wrong positions, who falls out with players on a regular basis, who treats the club with contempt by arrogantly asserting that he can stay as long as he likes, who forces dyed-in-the-wool Forest fans to join in the Derby chants of "..he's sending Forest down", who has turned Forest into local nobodies, and who fails to do interviews when Forest lose...

That was the final straw. That's what was so upsetting. To send out David Johnson to face the cameras. To send David Johnson to make a humiliating apology to the fans, and to be manoeuvred into an embarrassingly lukewarm statement of support for his manager. That was just plain disgusting. What kind of leader of men are we dealing with here? For that one thing alone, the man should be kicked out of the club for good and all, because that kind of behaviour is beneath contempt, and despite what the fool thinks and says, Forest deserve a lot better than that.

KINNEAR OUT

How's the club financially? I ask because the values of your players are dropping by the match, Reid and Dawson were rated at nearly 5 million in the summer but now you'll be lucky to get that for the pair.

If you go down you'll have an even harder job of getting good money for them, the most a club in Division 2/League 1 has received is 3.5 million(that was us for Akinbiyi) and that was during the transfer fee madness where a decent Prem player cost about 5 million.

Edit: Anyone see the game last night? I watched it because Fulham took Liam Rosenior from us and the arrogant little sod did very well, Fulham have done well by Converting him from a right Winger into a right back.

Here's what I mean by "arrogant little sod", he basically thought he was 2 good for us so refused to turn up for pre season training even though he hadn't had a contract offer from any other clubs and we still had his registration, All we got for him was 55k and a 20% sell on clause.

I actually think that Portsmouth are alright with Joe Jordan and Zajec running things, since Harry left they've done well in the league and they're now getting points away from home(which was Harry's weakness)

Well depending on when you ask dear old Joe it's either £20m debt, £5m debt, £10m debt or £15m debt. Joe has quoted all these figures since he's been here.

It best estimate though is £15m.

I'm confident we could get £3.5m for Reid in January, and I think Dawson will stay untill the summer as he's hardly played so far this season because he's injured. Another reason we have to stay up this year is that if we go down we might only get something stupid like £1m for him...

Ding dong the witch is dead!

Joe Kinnear has resigned as manager of struggling Championship outfit Nottingham Forest.

The City Ground side are languishing in 22nd place in the league and coach Mick Harford has taken temporary charge.

"I feel it is in the best interests of the club that I resign and give my successor the chance to turn things around," said Kinnear.

"I was brought in to save the club from relegation, but feel the time is now right to give someone else a chance."

He added: "I've no regrets about joining Forest - it's the best club I've had the privilege to manage.

"I've had the whole-hearted support of the chairman and my staff and marvellous backing from the supporters, which I will always be grateful for.

"Unfortunately, things have conspired against us this season. We have had horrendous injuries and I haven't once been able to put out my strongest team or even a settled side.

"I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone connected with the Club all the very best for the future.

"I sincerely hope to see Nottingham Forest playing their football in the Championship next season."

Kinnear replaced Paul Hart as manager in February and led the Reds to a successful end of the season, but he could not repeat the trick this time around.

A 3-0 defeat at local rivals Derby on Saturday proved the final straw for the former Wimbledon and Luton Town boss.

YES!!

Thank God for that.

BUT!

I am quite pissed off that he's left it till now! Great plan Joe, quit the day before a local derby just to give us that extra time for Mick Harford to prepare. Either he really is a complete twat or something's happened between Saturday and now...

Anyway -

After a week or so thinking about it, I'm quite happy Harry's fucked off.

The guy talks a good game, but he's not the manager you want to get anywhere in the league. He always sets his stall out for relagation battlers. No wonder he's gone to Saints.

Oh well, he'll get the chance to rescue a crap team from the championship again next season.
