Adebola's agreed terms and is having a medical tomorrow.

Isn't a goalscorer but he's always played well against us and he'll win his aerial battles, the best Johnson signings are players we thought we didn't need or didn't want(Basso,Fontaine,McCombe,Elliott,Byfield)

He isn't a bad squad player, for 6'5 he is very poor at winning headers but he's quicker than he looks and has these bursts of form when you least expect it.

He's only been professional for 4 years with Luton using him as supersub for 2 years and Midfielder for the other season so his goalscoring record isn't that bad.

In far, far shitter news Glenn Whelan has joined Stoke, which can fuck off and means we're going to be in a real scrap for sure, despite my rating Kavanagh (who's returned), our midfield just won't have enough energy if we're playing him alongside Wallwork. O'Brien may have to move back into the centre with Esajas on the left, which could be fine, but one injury could really fuck things up.

Anyone happy with their January transfer window?

We only lost one player on loan, and we kept all the good ones. We signed Stubbs and an Australian, plus Savage and others.

Eh, roll on next season.

Good performance today, most of our wins involve us getting a first half goal and in the 2nd half sitting back so it was nice to see us going forward at 2-0.

Without Dele helping him Michael Mifsud has done nothing, you really should have no trouble beating them.

Edit: flukey deflected goal on a terrible pitch against a truly useless southampton side and they call the sags giant killers?

Fortunately it got postponed again! Our pitch can be useful like that sometimes. Ben Sahar's still not made up his mind, I'm all for him coming, but can't shake off the feeling that he gives the impression of a spoilt little shit.

How's Enoch doing for you, I'm guessing he's been poor in the air but has worked hard.

Since signing Dele our away form's picked up and we don't have those 20 minute spells of pressure in the 2nd half which used to happen every game.

When your 6ft 5 centre half scores an over head kick, you start to believe it's your year.

Atmosphere today was great, was delighted that Lee Johnson(brilliant in 2008) got a standing ovation when subbed.

Well done to Mark Beevers on his Championship Apprentice award. Starting at centre half week in week out, just turned 18, going to be bloody good. And now Wood's back to partner him we've got three clean sheets in a row. I've become a big fan of our youth coach Sean Macauley, had us playing well in his brief caretaker spell and has obviously been doing something right, with Spurr, Beevers and Wood all academy products in the first team. Wish we'd produce a sodding striker though!

We got the Best programme award, at the end of season awards I'd expect us to have the manager of the season as well.

In that 50 best players thing we had Basso 13th, Trundle 31st(which is a joke) and Elliott 34th with the 2 most consistent players Carey and Mcindoe left out completely.

FourFourTwo's 50 best football league players was ridiculous. Andy effing Gray the 2nd best player IN THE LEAGUE? Has he even scored for Charlton yet? Does he even play? Having watched Lee Camp the day after I read the list, he's toss as well. All of QPR can fuck off while we're at it, appalling conduct just because Franck Songo'o was retaining possession with a couple of tricks in injury time. He had a great debut, and Burton was excellent when he came on, after Laws ragged off Showumni and the offensively bad Wallwork in the 40th minute.

Gray's 4th choice at Charlton behind Lita,Varney and Iwelumo and hasn't scored since December 1st when he got 2 for Burnley against Charlton.

We had a new look team out yesterday and should have won by more by all accounts. Howard and Hume can be the big man/little man combo up front and for the first time in 3-4 years we have a proper midfield with REAL PROPER WINGERS in the Hungarian pair we've got on loan. Add Oakley in the middle and it looks promising. Couple of tough games coming up against Norwich and Palace but feeling more optimistic.

Stupid boy, should have known better. We have Scunthorpe, Colchester and Sheff Wed at home but we'll probably manage about 2 points out of that knowing us. It's been coming for a few seasons now and at least if it does happen it'll be richly deserved.

Well done to Cheltenham(with 3 City players on loan) taking 6 points off Leeds, they've even got Brooker match fit which saves us bringing in another striker.

What a win, knock that bloody Layer Road down already, that's the only time we've ever won there, literally. Burton and Tudgay look to be back on form, and Kavanagh's aiding the cause admirably now, you can tell he's keen to stay here.
