Lil' Bitch Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 http://movies.yahoo.com/movies/feature/therundown.html I liked the original title of "Helldorado" the best instead of "The Rundown". Its look good, I think I'll be watching it opening night.
Guest Insane Bump Machine Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 At first I thought the trailer was decent, but then the John Lee Hooker music started and I was sold. Hooker = God.
Guest Eagan469 Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Since when is Walken it this movie, lol looks like it could be OK
Guest Eagan469 Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Here's a direct link for lazy people like myself: http://movies.yahoo.com/movies/feature/therundown.html
Guest fazzle Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Please tell me I did NOT just see him doing the Rock Bottom in that trailer.
Guest Insane Bump Machine Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Please tell me I did NOT just see him doing the Rock Bottom in that trailer. I thought so, too. Hopefully he'll do the People's Elbow as well. If that happens: Best.Movie.Ever!
Guest Austin3164life Posted July 22, 2003 Report Posted July 22, 2003 Doesn't look to bad, but not to promising either. I'll probably see it for the hell of it. The rock bottom will be the markout moment of the movie.
Lil' Bitch Posted July 22, 2003 Author Report Posted July 22, 2003 Please tell me I did NOT just see him doing the Rock Bottom in that trailer. I remember Entertainment Tonight interviewed the Rock a few weeks before the Mummy Returns was released into theatres. When they asked him what he thought about the Mummy, the Rock said he "gets into into a battle with the Mummy and proceeds to lay the smackdown by giving him a Rock Bottom followed by the People's Elbow." Oh how I wish that really did happen in the movie... And I can't believe some of you are actually surprised that he does his trademark move in his new movie. After all, he did do the People's Eyebrow and the punch-punch-punch-punch-spit into hand then punch combo in the Scorpion King...
Rendclaw Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 I'm not surprised that he does a Rock Bottom in the movie.... hell he did one to Seven of Nine when he did a guest spot on Star Trek Voyager a couple years ago.
Guest Retro Rob Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Yeah...... I think I'll pass on that one.
Guest Repo Man jr Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Looks like a good film. I like the bit with the monkey!
Guest Retro Rob Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 I'm not really a fan of the whole action/comedy genre. If I want action I'll see an action flick, if I want comedy... you get the point.
Guest Shaved Bear Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 thats a good...hey were near a movie theatre, have nothing to do, and a couple of hours to kill movie, plus Walken is awesome
LaParkaYourCar Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Why does Rock scream like a girl in the movie though?
Guest eiker_ir Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 looks like entertaining enough remember Goldberg did a spear in his big Hollywood blockbuster Universal Soldier TWO!
Guest Eagan469 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 remember Goldberg did a spear in his big Hollywood blockbuster Universal Soldier TWO! no, because you were one of the TWO people who saw it
Guest eiker_ir Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 hey i have it taped somewhere, don't make me look for it!
Guest Hogan Made Wrestling Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 It looks decent enough although I'm not a real fan of the buddy action/comedy genre. The Rock, Sean William Scott, and Christopher Walken is just about my dream cast though.
Lil' Bitch Posted July 23, 2003 Author Report Posted July 23, 2003 hey i have it taped somewhere, don't make me look for it! God, help us all...
Lil' Bitch Posted July 27, 2003 Author Report Posted July 27, 2003 For those wondering what the movie poster looked like:
Guest Insane Bump Machine Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 The poster reminds me of Reservoir Dogs.
Guest Muzz Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 Can't see the trailer right now, but I like the poster, very classy.
Guest eiker_ir Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 The poster reminds me of Reservoir Dogs. yes, as soon as i saw it i thought of Reservoir Dogs
Guest Insane Bump Machine Posted July 27, 2003 Report Posted July 27, 2003 yes, as soon as i saw it i thought of Reservoir Dogs The poster makes it look like a rough, violent action movie. The Way of the Gun (a movie I loved) comes to mind. It doesn't really fit a buddy action-comedy. Maybe the trailer gives the wrong impression by focusing mostly on humor, but I doubt it. Edit: Now that I think about it, the Way of the Gun poster looks even more similar:
