Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 - WWE Smackdown on 9/11/03 will be only 90 minutes long. The 9:30PM ET slot will go to UPN's new comedy, The Mullets. 411.com
Guest Choken One Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Damn...So That means 2 less McMahon Segments? Vince must be seething right now.
Guest oldschoolwrestling Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Damn...So That means 2 less McMahon Segments? Vince must be seething right now. Nope, they'll just cut out the Benoit/Guerrero match and the match with Kurt Angle as well. And the main event interview will feature the stars of the soon to be hit series, The Mullets.
Guest Goose749 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 I would be angry, but... The Mullets Will this be permanent?
Guest Choken One Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 U know...It's sad that...THE MULLETS is UPN's biggest hyped show in years... Me thinks they think they got a Married with Children on their hands here.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 One thing. What the fuck is "The Mullets"? I've been seeing it a lot on here lately.
Guest Choken One Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 An New Upn Sitcom about Two Mullet Wearing Father/Son (I think) whom live with a Rich Chick or something I dunno Looks like your standard UPN junk.

Guest Goose749 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 a show about rednecks. Remember a preview where they talk bout having Wrestlemania tix (paid for with WWE time slot?)
Guest Anglesault Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 I think they're brothers. It looks horrid
tekcop Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Damn...So That means 2 less McMahon Segments? You're kidding, right? You should know better than that.
Guest Goose749 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 so just the premier interferes. good, otherwise i would have had to start bitching about things I want to but can never do to UPN execs.
Guest Eagan469 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 THE MULLETS Tuesday 9:30 p.m. ET -The Premise: Two wrestling-loving, light-hearted guys (translation: jug heads) who sport identical mullet haircuts ("Yo, dude!) live life to the fullest while dreaming of bigger and better futures. -Who Was There: Michael Weaver, David Hornsby, John O'Hurley, Loni Anderson and executive producers Eric Tannenbaum, Bill Oakley and Josh Weinstein. -The Scoop: According to Josh Weinstein: "You've got to go for it. And we think that's lacking on TV. There's too many shows where there's sort of like witty, urbane put-downs and stuff, and let's have a show that really goes for it and has fun." According to Eric Tannenbaum: "There's a lot of movies, Dumb and Dumber and Wayne and Garth, that really work and there's an audience. And to try to do something different, to swing from the fence when there's a lot of conventional sitcoms on the air, we think, is just to have fun. We're not trying to do anything deep here. This is a family. These people love each other. And we do think there's an underlying sweetness to the guys in the family." And According to the Programming Insider: Relax and enjoy. Although Emmy won't come calling, you just might have a laugh (or two). -The Reality: Although you might get a few chuckles over the stupidity of this sitcom, lack of lead-in support in an already historically troubled UPN time period is unlikely to translate into success.
rising up out of the back seat-nuh Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 That show looks like crap on an astronomical level. Also, does McMahon really think that synergy with a show about wrestlin-lovin, beer-drinkin white trash is gonna increase his market towards the nainstream? The crazy fool.
Guest Goose749 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 McMahon might not have a say in the matter. He probly has to deal, or find another network. anyway, who doesn't want to watch this show? business in the front... party in the back!!![/sarcasm]

I guess so since the Mullets worked an angle before Raw on Monday night with the tag champs and the Dudz.
Guest Youth N Asia Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 I'm sure they'll cut more Jamie Noble and Ultimo Dragon segments
Guest Retro Rob Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 I'm sure they'll cut more Jamie Noble and Ultimo Dragon segments What Ultimo Dragon segment? The guy is rarely on the 3 hours of TV the SmackDown brand produces every week.

The guy is rarely on the 3 hours of TV the SmackDown brand produces every week. Well, if Dragon had the segments he deserves, then they'd be cut.
Guest Trivia247 Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 oye the Mullets.....like having a TV show of Joe Dirt.... without the Forrest Gump like Epic movie quality and just leaving us with the dirt.
Guest Vern Gagne Posted July 23, 2003 Report Posted July 23, 2003 Anyone else think the 2 year anniversary of the 9-11 terrorist attacks, was the reason it was only going to be 90 minutes?
